I love the trees that are put up by little sproggles.

they are full artistic impressions of what christmas is all about.

I love "perfect" trees too, but I know I will never get one, I do clutter and colour too much for me to have a perfect tree.

well done for everyone who has their tree up, they look fab

Poet what kind of guitars are those?

I bought my OH a Washburn for his birthday a few years ago and im now saving to get him a Fender tele :D

the electric one is a squier strat (the copy of the fender strat), then there's 2 acoustic ones; one is genuine fender with cut out, it IS gorgeous though and is DH's baby! ;)

Then I have a black (Johnny Cash stlye) acoustic for me, it's a left hander, it's only a cheap (but very nice) Stagg guitar.

We're running out of room for guitar stands! Maybe I should drape some tinsel over them or something!

Fender tele, niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice! :D

As the OH has played an acoustic for a few years he prefers the feel of the tele over the strat so thats what we have decided to go for :D

American built is what he is really after but the cost ££££££! However we have few vices - only chocolate and chooks so what the heck!:lol:

Your guitars look great - the OH is now a slight shade of green!

LOL, thanks, they do look nice on their stands but have to be dusted constantly!

We're the same, we don't go out to the pub or for meals hardly ever, we don't smoke at all or drink very much and being able to play a musical instrument is better than saying you can down 10 pints I think! ;)

DH's Fender acoustic can also be connected to an amp. He's the guitar expert though and drools over all the different types, I'm happy with my Stagg :)

My real passion is the piano, I want a house big enough to house a Steinway baby grand, bliss! :)

you have to get your own!!! ;) you can get some really nice, fully weighted, touch sensitive electric ones with the full 88s.

I have a Roland F90 and I love it! Our house is too small for an acoustic piano but the beauty of an electric one is, it never needs tuning ;)

after my Christmas walk out to see all the local lights on peoples houses, I've sent hubby up the loft for our tree. He's been down with 3 so far that are the wrong one. We had a pink one last year with feathery bits & fibre optics.

At last he has found it & a whole big bag of decs! So it's up now and plugged in. We have put our cards up - they are always a problem as we never know where to put them.

Trouble is, we have 3 trees that we need to get rid of & we'd ike them to go to someone who is not fortunate to be able to have a tree.

Hi Emma,

have you thought of Freecycle? You can join the local group and offer the trees, then choose who to give them to. The only limitation is that the items must be offered free. Non-profit organisations also use the site to ask for or give away items.

We moved recently and gave away loads of stuff that we couldn't use, but was too good to throw out. I like it because it saves tipping things and because the site runs on good manners and kindness.

Helen

If you feed Freecycle into a search engine near you, you should be able to find it easily, and locate your nearest group!

I did join freecycle once - a local one. But got so fed up of all the emails that I unsubscribed from it. THere were a few cheeky so & so's on it too. I know I was offering it free, but they wanted delivery to other end of the country for nowt......it was a wardrobe, so I couldn't really post it - it would have to have gone by courier!

Might advertise them in the local shop window - free to good home!

After putting this in the Fairy lights thread  I'll post it here where it was meant to be.

I think I'm tired

.....not very exciting, but I put our tree up today and here it is

Please excuse the heap of Molly toys that at one time used to all fit in that yellow box  and for an artificial tree, it doesn't half lose it's needles

That might just be me just not getting the vaccum out when I finished

Yes Christian you must!!

We had sold our house and had it fall through twice, (just into the New Year too  ) so we didn't put our tree up a few years ago. But...

I had to have one so bought a little tabletop ready dressed real tree from M&S so we had something festive.

We took the tree above to Joe's brothers in Hampshire that year as he has space for both of them, brought it back when we moved in and put it up for our first Christmas here.......

then we realised that we'd left all the decs, lights, baubles the lot at Joe's brothers so that's how we ended up with the current set up, and now have a spare set of decs in gold should we get bored
