Ain't Nobody Here
My MIL's name is Isobel . She's lovely (if a bit irritating) but I now can't imagine anyone young with that name.
Egluntyne
A pal of Him Indoors has a late surprise baby (he's 60 ) called Isobel. She's 2. He has 5 daughters aged between 32 an 2. The name really suits this little girl who has jet black hair and very blue eyes. Naturally she gets called Izzy by her father.

Guest
Good choice . My grandfather's name was James James . Aaaaaah....now there's a thing. Chookiehubbie was a big fan of 'Mad About You', where the female lead was called James, and he's always rather fancied that if we had a daughter. When Caitlin was born he gazed lovingly at her and whispered, 'can we call her James', which I quickly said no to, given that a) Our surname is James, and b) It's a BOYS name... Now he wants to name this one James if it's a girl.
Egluntyne
My Scottish great grandmother rejoiced in the name of Jamesina. How about that?

Guest
Ewan (or Euan ) is already on our shortlist for boys, but I think chookiehubbie fancies a Welshie name....
Tessa the Duchess
chookiehen wrote: but I think chookiehubbie fancies a Welshie name.... Oooh DH is Welsh, so consulted him. He gave me Rhys, Owen, Gwillam, Tudor and of course Daffydd (the only gay in the village) for boys. For girls Bronwen, Myffanwy (which was my second choice for a girl) and that's all the girls names he could think of Tessa
Guest
We already used Owen for DS2! He quite fancies Myffanwy for a girl, but I've put my foot down on that one.

Cate in NZ
Eirlys . I knew I had a Welsh girls name on the tip of my tongue, but couldn't quite recall it. It means snowdrop in Welsh. Or Delyth, when I was at school in Wales there were an abundance of Delyths around And of course Megan is a Welsh name too Or Angharad, means "more love" in Welsh Don't actually know how well used these names are in Wales now of course, but I knew people with all those names when I lived there. Goronwy was our ancient milkman mind, but it's alse the first name of Gethin's Dad (from Strictly Come Dancing). Just a few suggestions there Chookie...........are you sure that you're not having octuplets
