chelsea
To be honest - whilst Lindfield is very nice - my house is just an ordinary boring one in a cul-de-sac and i would rather live somewhere more rural - a smaller village in middle of nowhere in a thatched cottage with roses round the door and plenty of land for a few animals... Chelse - Did you ever look for another house after that gorgeous one fell through earlier this year? You have the same dream as me Helen Im in a cul-de-sac and would love the cottage with roses and land etc etc. We still go past that chocolate box cottage that we nearly put an offer in for,.....no one is living in it yet - they are still doing it up. Im ALWAYS looking at moving thats one of my new years resolutions!

Chicken Licken
we have big skies... like this http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/180197 At this time of the year the wind howls, but it has its own unique beauty as far as I'm concerned (just one hill would be wonderful though!!) The Dogmother
Helen - that is just down the road from us! And not much further along that road is Great Tew - one of the prettiest Cotswold villages The pub (Falkland Arms) is fabulous and used to have chooks and ducks in the garden. We went down to Wicken Fen last Saturday - my favourite National Trust property (well, my favourite one that isn't a marsh ) and then on to Anglesey Abbey (don't understand that - it's not an abbey and its just northeast of Cambridge - what's that about?). We had a great day. Wicken Fen must get really crowded in the summer as its really not big, even with the new bit - I've been there three times, but each time in the winter. Might give that a look as it's not that far away from us. Might wait till it's slightly warmer though - I thought I was going to freeze to death at Banham zoo yesterday!!
