Steam cleaner

Recommended Posts

My Mum bought me a little one last Christmas and I've never really known what to do with it. It seems to work ok on glass but it's easier to use diluted vinegar in a spray bottle. My kitchen floor is slate so I daren't use steam in case it removes the seal. Whenever I've used it on the carpet it doesn't seem to have done much.

I did try it on a poo stain on the bathroom carpet where one of the kids had missed :eh: but all I did was fill the room with the unimaginable smell of hot poo :vom:

Perhaps I'll try again.

Actually, could I use it on the Eglu?

My favourite job for the steamer is the edges of the windows. Watching it blast all that black mould and grime off the seals is very satisfying. I then just wipe with a jcloth. Shower screens are also easy oh and the cooker and the microwave and defrosting the freezer and the toilet seat and bowl and the babies highchair and toys and the tiles and the floor and the mirrors.....you see once you start you won't stop.....until your house is totally steamed and sterilised....:lol::lol:

Woo! I've just discovered a new benefit of this forum :D:D:D:D

Thank you all! I'll have to write myself a little 'steaming' ditty to sing while i do my steam cleaning happily. I am really looking forward to shower doors and ovens. DS had better watch out - he claims he's had his annual shower now :shock:

Who started this spending frenzy  Eguntine...you should get commission

Incidently I noticed you could buy some different types for about £20, but then it would be £5+ postage and not the genuine Egluntine steam cleaning machine

(plus John Lewis is very good)
