Egluntyne
It's on the side of the tin.....sorry guys...I used Nestle condensed milk. Well when some-one asks you to make a particular dish..... Bog Standard biscuit base: 9oz crushed digestives and 3 1/2 ox melted butter. Mix and press into dish. Chill Filling: 3 1/2 oz butter 3 1/2 oz dark brown sugar 397g can Condensed Milk Place the butter and sugar in pan andheat gently until butter and sugar are melted thoroughly. Add condensed milk and bring gently to the boil, stirring continuously. When boiling, pour into the prepared base, allow to cool and then refiridgerate. Topping. 284g pot double cream, whipped Grated chocolate 2 sliced bananas....dipped in lemon juice to stop discoloration.
Snowy
Looks gorgeous Egluntine! I used to make this a lot, but I stood the tins of condensed milk in boiling water for, I think, a couple of hours (my memory is letting me down but someone else might know). Used to do 3 or 4 tins at a time too. Just tip the contents of the tin straight onto the bananas on top of the biscuit base. Yummy!
Blackrocksrock
Oh that is my kind of pudding - its gorgeous - I used to boil 3 - 4 tins too at a time for about 3 hours without letting the pan boil dry. Then they store in the cupboard - now you can buy them like that all ready to use!. I still like the look of that one better!.
