Milly
I can't believe how many pics I have taken of headless chickens, chickens' bottoms, blurry chickens - has anyone got any tips for a good photo? I have also tried getting someone else to hold some food out to distract them, but they just will not keep still! Milly
Ain't Nobody Here
Just keep snapping and you'll get a good one eventually . I've got lots of bums in the air too . I was trying to line my girls up for a photocall the other day (don't ask me why ). This was the result (that's not a throw, it's MIL's old bedcover ):

Leicester_H
Great photo's - middle one especially - looks like they should be on Top of the Pops dancing to some silly song !!! I too have lots of headless chick photo's - thank goodness for digital as they don't cost anything. Mine seem to run straight to the camera (over filling the frame) or turn away showing thier rear ends Yes - simply take lots and always have your camera to hand. Please post here when you have some H

Milly
Great photos! Maybe that's the trick - put them somewhere unfamiliar and snap them while they are busy looking around! Milly
Egluntyne
Great pics ANH!
Ain't Nobody Here
ES insisted on bringing them ALL in at once (usually they have a solo visit) and as I find it hard to get a picture outside of all three at once, I just thought I'd try it . There's nothing much to peck at on a sofa so I thought I might actually get some heads up in the air rather rear ends .

Cinnamon
TOP TIP !!!!! Get a digital camera with a multi shot function, & set it to take 6 - 9 shots in sequence. At least one of them will be a good'un
chickenanne
my one and only tip: take it from as close to there level as possible - i.e. don't take it looking down at them. I mean that literally, of courseno-one ever looks down at the chicken as being off elsser intelligence than me (sadly!)
