Cinnamon
Thought I would update this as the paving is now all done - it looks really smart now! The path goes right to the patio,so no more muddy Crocs for me. The little bush in front of the orange Cube is a honeysuckle & it has teeny solar fairy lights in it which look so pretty when they light up in the evening We have had to lash down the pink Eglu for the storm tonight! Cinnamon
Oh yes,the Pig Hubby bought him from some shop he went past & gave him to me as a pressie a few years ago, He is resin I think, & he is normaly much less obvious when the border is in full bloom

theherd123
Sarah it looks just fantastic! Love the round runs - v swish indeed! I am debating whether or not to put my cube outside the hen hotel as you have done - it will make it much easier to clean

I can't see how you could hose the eglu down if it is in the run, would just make all the floor wet each time. Tessa
Cinnamon
Another advantage of having it outside the run is that the rain keeps it clean on the outside - they get horribly dusty if they are in the run. Its nice not to have to go into the run to collcet the eggs too - less chance of getting a pooey Croc
theherd123
Its nice not to have to go into the run to collcet the eggs too - less chance of getting a pooey Croc I have a dedicated pair of chicken crocs that i dont mind getting poohy as long as i dont forget to take them off and then walk into the kitchen in them! The OH goes crazy if i walk on his clean floor!
redfrock
wow, now I really love the run that Andy built me bit now that I have seen yours .... I've noticed that quite a few of you have plants in and round your runs - I would love to do something like that but don't have a clue what to plant (ie what will last, and what isn't poisonous). Mine seem to decimate everything except, thankfully,my almond tree.
