Mr.Pudding, the biggest bird i have but, by far, the wussiest. Narcissa beats him up.

I hope you all enjoy, this bunch bring me hours of joy just watching them be silly.

in answer to your question Eyren, no they dont have feathered feet and i think they are normal bantam size but since ive never seen any ofther bantams up close im not really sure. narcissa is about the size of a pigeon and snape and bella are a bit bigger but theyre all mostly just fluff and feathers.

I also think snapes name suits him, i like how his neck feathers are really shiny like snapes greasy black hair and i suppose his beak is kinda like a hooked nose. he's alot nicer than snape though. and he can't brew potions :(

That sounds about normal size for a bantam. Mine are about wood-pigeon-sized (Pepper's a bit bigger, but she's a mongrel and might not be 100% bantam), but even little Nutmeg is definitely bigger than the collared doves that sneak into the run to nick pellets whilst the girls are free-ranging.

Where did you get them? I'm thinking of getting pekins, but LSH might be more persuaded by miniature Orpingtons ;)

i got them from woodside animal farm.

i dont think they have any hens in at the oment but im pretty sure they are getting some more in in march.

be careful though the staff there, and even the owner, dont know much about chickens. i got 2 cockerels from them and they promised me that both were hens.

i suppose its not all bad though because i love my snape.

I know that feeling! The guy I got my newbies from told me on the phone that one was a partridge pekin, which she is definitely not! Maybe an Araucana cross, but certainly not a pure-bred pekin! I don't really mind as she is pretty and lays eggs, but...

I don't think our neighbours in suburban Cambridge would appreciate a cockerel (I know I wouldn't!), so I think I'll stick to my original plan of calling Kirsty at Happy Hens...
