Olly
Oh how awful - that can happen so easily, it only takes a phone call or someone at the door. Poor you, and poor chickens - let us know how the survivors get on.
MedusA
Oh no! How dreadful. I do hope your 2 survivors are still with us and will be OK. Definitely take them to the vet though. They will need antibiotics (as well as TLC of course). Sending *get well vibes* and *hugs*

Lovemychooks
I had to have the white chicken put down, it wasn't far on her. The vet told me to keep an eye on the other until tomorrow. I have put sugared water to her beak which she is taking, not all the time though....will see how she is tomorow, fingers crossed. Thanks for all your thoughts. Sarah B
Lovemychooks, I've seen your post from the off but didn't know what to say to be honest. I am genuinely really upset for you and your chickens and being a new chook keeper I don't have any words of advice. I'm sending you plenty of digital hugs and I hope when you feel better you get a new flock and I so hope your little white survivor makes it - fingers crossed and love. koo2cat
Thinking of you at what must be a dreadful time. Just shows that you can never be too careful when it comes to foxes. Confirmed to us that we sadly can't let ours free range unless we are in the garden with them (we back onto open countryside). hilda-and-evadne
I was really upset to read what happened to you all yesterday. What a huge shock - and a reminder to all of us not to underestimate the fox. I hope that you will have a new flock soon (if that is what you want). esta
Oh my gosh! I'm really sorry, thats what happened to me. I had around 17 chickens and the fox killed them all and took one. I've been in your shoes, it ain't nice, your poor chook chooks. Bring them in and keep them warm, call a vet and get them there straight away. If not maybe you should clear up the wounds and give them food and water to calm them. Put them in a box of some description with saw dust or whatever you use. Put them in a dark quiet place and check on them often. I hope I helped, hang in their little chicks! Esta xxx
Tiggy
I am so sorry, I kneo how thiws feels, I've had 2 fox attacks in 6 months, & have just 1 chicken left, I'm waiting for 3 others to be delivered, once the fox knows where they are he will not give up, now I only let chooks out of the eglu run when I am standing right there. Saffy survived in a ct carrier in my hall with lots of TLC & a trip to the vet for anti in inflammatory drops for the pain
