*mummy_hen*
Hi all, after all the should i or shouldn't i let them out debate, woke up this morning to the most glorious day - every day we've had them has rained so this was a welcome change. Decided that as we might have torrential rain again by tomorrow i would let them out - that was as 10 and they are still happily milling around in the garden!! They absolutely LOVE it! Pop back in the run every now and then for a drink, etc. so i know they know that in the run is their little home. Feel so content sat out on the patio with them roaming. Henrietta made a nest in the bushes, 3 of them were sunbathing on the patio. 2 have had a dust bath and all 5 have been digging around in the flowerbeds to their hearts content!! Nuggywoo
Those photo's made me cry! Especially the 4th one, that's a perfect shot of sheer bliss!! What lucky, beautiful girls - you must be so proud of them. (ps your cat is gorgeous! - what's he/she saying in the first one?)
*mummy_hen*
Thank you - my cat is my other spoilt baby! She isn't too fussed about the chickens but gets a little frightened when they flap. I think she was a bit bemused by it all at first so was probably saying to them 'what the hell are you doing here?' I do feel proud of them, 1 because they are so beautiful but also because of the way they have coped so well with everything, the sad little lives they had before and now they take it all in their stride, loving every minute - they are so brave! I currently have one sleeping on my toes

*mummy_hen*
Thanks all - i'm always nutty about the animals we have, but nothing could have prepared for me for how much i was going to love these little darlings. They loved every minute of being outside and the forecast for this weekend says sun sun sun (thank goodness) so think they will be out a lot over the next couple of days. Ex-batts are spellbounding, seeing them grow from day to day is amazing, pleased i have you lot to share it with as not everyone understands
