Popcorn
We bought Molly a new radiator bed recently, to try and deter her from sleeping in the baby's cot..... I think it's passed the comfort test butter wouldn't melt would it

Lovely for that 4am trip to the loo We have that too Trish. The bottom of the stairs is the other fave place for left over mice bits. Molly also likes sitting in the bathroom Must be nice and cooling in there.

The Managing Director
one of our cats has left home we had wondered where he was as had barely seen him recently , this week we got a phone call asking whether we had a black cat , expecting to heare he had been found run over we said yes and learnt that he has been living with another family for the last 2 weeks They have 3 cats but no childen and no dogs and he wakes them up at 4 in the morning Despite this they really like him and short of asking them to spray him with water every time they see him there doesn't seem to be much to be done except say thankyou for letting us know where he is mind you they're newly married so maybe they'll have kids and then he'll be back

Popcorn
oh MD - that's awful I go round there and fetch him home and keep him in for a few day to help re-establish its routine. I'd be devastated if my Molly left home to go and live up the road. You need to ask them to not feed, or fuss or let the cat in at all, otherwise he'll will keep going back. He's probably got confused now. GO and get your cat!!!!
The Managing Director
I go round there and fetch him home and keep him in for a few day to help re-establish its routine. I'd be devastated if my Molly left home to go and live up the road. trouble is the Ca caught him the other day and we kept him in for a couple of days and now he wont let anyone except Murdo go near him in a case we confine him again Murdo is working on trying to build up his trust so he wont always expect to be caught so don't want to destroy that. It doesn't helpl that the only time I tend to see him is when I have Flint with me and Chaos just heads for the hills at first sight of him, The CA is actually not as upset as I expected , with the callousness of youth she wants a new kitten Murdo said he's not prepared to finance cats for half the neighbourhood I feel pretty sad though he is such a lovely cat , but think he just can't cope with the kids and stopping them manhandling him is almost impossible, we just phoned the people who have him, they asked Murdo if he wanted to talk to the cat ( I remember when I first went to university I used to talk to my dog on the phone , in fact I think I might have talked to my dogs on the phone when I was in hospital after the Ca was born too well didn't want them to feel left out ) anyway Chaos is asleep on their bed , he's not allowed on the beds here(Murdo is allergic to cats) so maybe that's the lure. The people who have him are really nice and I think a bit embarassed, they would I think throw him out if we asked but on the other hand we know he's safe there , he is also doing his good deed he apparently really brought her dad out of his shell So if anyone knows of any kittens going spare my niece just got 2 kittens and one of them broke it's leg, it has a pot on bigger than it is, poor little thing, never heard of a cat breaking a leg before

Popcorn
MD - Molly (our cat) packs her bags for the day when my Mum brings her dogs over. I have no idea where she goes, but she does come back when the coast is clear. The testing time will be when this baby arrives. She might never come back! She is used to living in a fairly quiet, peaceful house at the moment. I talk to Mums dogs all the time on the phone. They go running to the back door as they think I am there. When they can't see me they run about with cocked ears in confusion - hee hee! Quite daft dogs really
The Dogmother
My dog could never recognise voices on the phone . Both our cats either disappear under the bed or out of the door when small children arrive; can't say that I blame them! Gina, our cats were fine when Rosie arrived, but I got cat nets for the cot and the pram so that they couldn't nest in there.

Quite daft dogs really [/color] I'm sure you Molly will be fine with the baby Gina, although as Clare says have a cat net . Think 4 year olds and dogs are the problem for Chaos plus we only got them in october and they had been rescued twice by then when they were 8 weeks old their first owner used to let them cross a main road to scavenge from the local kebab place so they have had to be very independant and yet never learnt ot teach the dog manners, he still tries to carry them around Anyway the good news is the people he has attached himself to are moving sometime in the next 6 months so lets hope he comes home then (they have assured us they're not taking him with them) Glad it's not just me who talks to the dog on the phone, the other thing that really used to baffle our shepherds was seeing themselves on tv (via a camcorder) they go nuts trying to get behind the TV to find themselve
Aunty e
I talk to my cats on the phone all the time, and they've lived with my mum for six years! They still recognise my voice though. I miss them. Want a cat. mean husband.

The Dogmother
My mate's hubby is a big hulking fellow, but he's scared witless of cats! He went to the bathroom here once, and quickly came downstairs and asked to use the downstairs loo as ther was a cat sitting on the windowsill in the bathroom - right next to the loo!!!! We laughed ourselves silly at his expense.
