I'm really glad that Daniel can now stand and walk (just) on his own but he's certainly making things a little difficult. So if you see random streams of letters or things missing then here is why.

I have a huge folder of breastfeeding photos that I use to discuss parents feelings about breastfeeding during antenatal courses, and one of them is of a mum breastfeeding while sitting on a sand-dune using her laptop!!! The baby is at least a year old. It always gets picked by one of the parents (as does one of a toddler nursing with oversized sunglasses on and one of a mum in Bolivia (or somewhere similar) walking round breastfeeding carrying a huge gun on her back!) - they say 'it looks like once you get past the hard part, breastfeeding can be really convenient and help you not have to stop doing things'. I have to bite my tongue to say that I have no idea how that baby has been trained not to kick/hit/generally fiddle with the laptop while the mum is working on it! My toddler would repeatedly kick the keyboard everytime I tried breastfeeding her and typing at the same time!

He's lovely. By far the best looking little gremlin I've ever encountered

 

I have an 18 month old secretary. I can't get any typing done without 'help'. I'm sure everyone on this forum thinks I'm either illiterate or the world's worst typist. I always have to edit my postings.

 

He's also learnt to switch the laptop on when I'm not around and I've found him drumming on the keyboard so many time.

Oh good grief no, certainly not from me anyway. I sent the DH down for the snip 3 weeks after the wee man was born. Mwahahaha , some may think me wicked but after the tramua I had both during the pregnancy and his birth NEVER again.

 

I'm just really pleased to see him walking at 17 1/5 months after I was told it may not be until he was 3 that he would walk. ( For those who dont know he is a Dwarf which effects his centre of gravity and also his muscles are lax, hence not walking as soon as a 'normal' baby. )

It has been hard work,his condition is compounded by the fact he is extremely hypemobile, so from below the waist he can move in EVERY direction. He couldnt sit up until he was 5 months old. He has hydrotherapy every week which he loves and physiotherapy routines which are daily. He is always off to see some specialist or the other, but generally he has had great care.

 

He is such a lovely little boy and he will break some hearts with his saucepan eyes when he is older.

I didnt catch many of those, but I catch the odd program with children with his condition, its interesting stuff, especially when you have personal experience. It's a bit like when your pregnant, you suddenly notice how many others are pregnant too
