Lesley
Lauren and Jake were at a Swim and Sport Day in the next town yesterday. Lauren was kicked as a lad turned at the end of the swimming pool and her shoulder dislocated again....... The people running the course couldn't phone my daughter as they have "mislaid the paperwork" which included mobile numbers and emergency numbers Luckily, Jake had been earwigging the previous day and heard my daughter and my sister arranging to go to the gym in a different town and they managed to track her down that way. Lauren and Jake both knew my number - and it is on the lost paperwork as an emergency number - but I was out. Thank goodness Jake was earwigging! Egluntyne
Blimey. Heads need to roll for such incompetence. Poor Lauren. Just when she had been injury free for a while too. Well done Jake.

clootie
That's just awful and I'm shocked to hear of such incompetence. I hope Lauren makes a speedy recovery and make sure you make a very loud noise to the organisers/management.
ClaireG
Oh no poor Lauren. Well done Jake for earwigging. Boohoo hiss to the sports centre, very imcompetent of them. I think a complaint is definatly in order. I used to wpork with children and all confidential info such as this had to be kept under lock and key. SarahJo
Hugs to Lauren - and well done Jake. Is it not funny how children have selective hearing - and sometimes for the better Best wishes Lesley xox

Lesley
Hello all - sorry I didn't come back to this, things were a bit hectic as we lost so many hours at the hospital that we only just had time to pack........ Lauren is fine - she's strapped up for 3 weeks and is supposed to be resting her shoulder ( ) There were big discussions about surgery but it isn't an option as her shoulder is multilaterally unstable and so surgery won't help., it's difficult getting her to be careful as she doesn't feel pain as she should and so she keeps using that arm. My daughter will be writing to the organisers - she mentioned it the following day wehn she collected Jake but it was different people running that days activities and no-one wanted to know Back soon.......24th August.
