Joojoo
Well fancy that!! I've just had an email from my Mum who said... "There was such a commotion up the road this morning when I went to the Post Office for stamps. A long (3 cars long) stretch limo was being parked outside by a posh chauffeur. Cars were being moved away from the area to avoid conjection. The limo had JLS on the side, which meant nothing to me. In the PO screams could be heard coming from the Jack Hunt School, and I later found out that JLS is from the XFactor and the lad went to the JHS! Going home by the school the screaming was deafening." That's my old school . I knew that Aston came from Peterborough but didn't realise he was an old Jack Hunt pupil . Might vote for them now . Look what happened this afternoon http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/7772341.stm

bluekarin
I haven't watched much X Factor - not really into it. But my ED has just started getting into these sort of programmes so are currently watching it. Love the Abba song sung by what I am guessing is the not so successful people
Cooks
Oh My Goodness I sat there in tears, Alexandra was awesome! I like the others too, but wow!!!
ChrisP
I missed it! What did she sing??
craftyhunnypie
I want JLS to win. Eoghan wasn't bad tonight, but I don't like him. Alexandra is good, but has that rough voice like Tina Turner mixed with Leona. I don't like Tina Turner & I'm not keen on all the Mariah Carey high notes and ' ooo's'. Do we really need another Leona? Leona is unique & should not be copied. There is a gap for a new boy band & a coloured one would be superb, up to date, fresh & modern. There I've had my opinion. Wonder who will go first? And what will we do on Saturday evenings in future? I've got just under an hour to pop my gingerbread men in the oven. I cut them out before x factor - organisation eh? bluekarin
My ED is pleased she won too! And out of the two, I am glad she won as well. Just hope they don't over produce Hallelujah when they release it.
craftyhunnypie
I'm gutted. It's a fix because Cheryl is new IMO She did sing Hallelujah good though. Emma.x

chelsea
Alexandra was amazing !! her duet with Beyonce was unbelievable. Singing hallelujah had me in tears Eoghan and JLS were very gracious in defeat. Am very pleased (voted 10 times!)

Guest
Alexandra was FAB last night, and thoroughly deserved her win, although I began to see why JLS had got to the fiinal for the first time - they were really good last night too, despite being made to perform with Westlife! MedusA
I am so pleased that the most talented singer won. Good luck to Alexandra. She was amazing last night! Her rendition of Hallelujah was heart-tuggingly beautiful. I love that song anyway. I did vote for her. I think Eoghan was sweet but needs a few more years to be strong enough. JLS were fab too. I'm sure they'll get a recording deal. I agree that everyone was very gracious. Well done everyone!
clootie
I have to admit, I'm glad it's over. The cringe factor overwhelmed me when the ad for the next lot of wannabe's came on !! HELP !! Well done to Alexandra though - she truly has a superb voice and her duet with Beyonce was incredible.
A chickychickychick-ENN!!
We recorded it as we were delivering gifts to family. Well, when I say recorded it, I mean all but the last ten minutes. GAH! It always happens. Recording machines are not my friends. The ITV site had the highlights though. So funny when she won that she fell over with shock. She has an amazing voice. It's not quite my thing - I'm not keen on the whole modern 20 notes where one will do thing, but for power and raw emotion, she's so believable. The only thing I don't like in the X-Factor version of Hallelujah is the key change. I don't think anyone can beat the Jeff Buckley version of that song. And is it me, or did Dannii have odd nostrils? They looked bigger than usual. Almost Daniella Westbrook-style. Worrying how plastically manipulated they looked. Mrs Frugal
LSH said the same thing last week about Dannii's nostrils. They are not right, are they . I have to agree with you about Halleluja. Jeff Buckley's version is THE best version. Can't better a classic. Alexandra's version is good but I hope they don't make it too warbly and choral for the CD. bronze
There are some songs that should not be touched except by masters such as Jeff Buckley and Cohens Hallelujah is one of them. And now I'm going to have to listen to her 'version' of it constantly over christmas as its bound to go to number one as they all do regardless of how good they are. I wonder listening/watching her if she even has any idea what the songs about X factor has so much money in it why dont they just pay someone to write a song that appropriate for them. Oh well at least I havent heard anyone massacre bridge over troubled water again recently. Now can we have something good on tv please (self moderated to curb language)

Seagazer
We have only just finished watching it tonight. We thought Alexandra was absolutely brilliant and loved her version of Hallelujah. Actually gave us goosebumps. She really deserved to win. Beyonce was brilliant singing her single and we loved their duet. We knew she had won last night as they announced it as we left the O2 after watching Elton John. Would love to watch the New Year's Eve concert with Elton and Alexandra
