jlo
MedusA, I have got to concur to be honest. I generally agreed with the choices (what do I know about pop music though!) I was pleased that Alexandra got through rather than Amy. Although Amy was very sweet and obviously has been through hell, her voice was not as strong as Alexandra's. I was also pleased that the young family group didn't get through as I didn't think that they were up for it and their attitude was pretty grim at Bootcamp. Really really can't be doing with all the tears though. Starting to get me down a bit! (Grumpy old woman that I am!)
susanbb
Michael Jackson must be cringing at this moment in time.
Egluntyne
What was Rachel thinking? Probably the best voice in the competition, and even though she was allowed to choose her own song, she made as inappropriate choice as was foisted upon her last week. Aarrrgggghhhh. missuscluck
Im loving Diana She brought a tear to my eye tonight.
Snowy
It was dire tonight - but I don't like Michael Jackson anyway, so that just made it worse But it has to be Girlband and Daniel in the sing off.
BarbaraJ
I was bored i agree with Snowy on the bottom 2! girl band were sooo bad!
BeckyBoo
Hmmm, no one stands out for me this time particularly. We all noticed Leona from really early on, Leon I still think is awful (sorry ) and has been "manufactured" in his style by the powers that be instead of being allowed to be himself, not that I really rate his voice anyway. The marmite girl, can't remember her name is alright when she starts to belt them out but is just TOO squeaky when she's quiet, Rachel is alright, I actually thought her song was better this week than last week. Missed the beginning so didn't see Daniel or Girl Band - but don't particularly like Girl Band either. I'm a real bundle of laughs tonight!! susanbb
Girlband in the bottom 2 with perhaps Daniel. agree with the rest.........TOO many balads.
Guest
I LOVE Diana!!!!! she reminds me of some of my favourite bands; the cranberries, sixepence none the richer; a bit folky, a bit hippie. She looks like a little imp, she's so cute. I hope she wins.

BeckyBoo
But it's Ruth, who is Spanish doing Purple Rain - a song that, personally I think only Prince can do with any conviction? Goodness knows what girl band are going to do...... Mrs B
Christian
I missed it tonight but will catch up at some point. Is Diana the blonde girl? She reminds me of Suzanne from a couple of years ago. Slightly gravel in her voice, the ability to change a song to sound unique. I hope she wins too
Snowy
Glad it was Girlband who went - can't believe the judges sent it to a tie break though Iknow they don't think much of Ruth, but she was miles better than the band I loved her rendition of purple rain, she is lovely and deserves to stay in a bit longer
Egluntyne
Totally agree Snowy. What was Simon up to? One minute he is flirting outrageously with Ruth and the next treating her like that. Maybe if she had sung it in Spanish......he seems obsessed with that. Girl band were dreadful, although their 2nd song was an improvement on anything they had done before. Only 2 of them have anything like a singing voice though. The other two were terrible, off key and weak. For the first time I was impressed with Scott. Some of them are no good at all at the gentler singing and can only belt it out. He did exceptionally well at both .
clootie
and what about Girls Aloud? Dire!! Apologies to any fans out there but I thought Cheryl Cole was completely out of tune and the redhead looks like she's going out trick or treating !! I suppose Mrs Cole was nervous singing considering what the show's about and with Simon Cowell watching but never the less ..................... some of the contestants did much better, in my humble opinion of course
Seagazer
Haven't watched the result show yet. I really like Laura and we loved Austin's rendition of Billie Jean (another marmite moment I know ). I thought Girl Band were bad and we all started talking whilst they were singing. Diane doesn't hold my attention and last week when she was singing 'you' it made be cringe as she sang it really strangley. I didn't like Rachel's song at all. One thing that I noticed was that I couldn't understand a lot of the words when most of them were singing. Don't know if its me going deaf or that they have really bad diction. Is that the right word??

Maybe they should've mimed to it I also loved Austen's performance - strange version of Billie Jean, but I liked it and he did carry it off very well. Why do they all sing with american accents? chelsea
Loved Ruth's rendition of purple rain, Simon was out of his mind to take it to deadlock - she was in a different league to Girlband so glad she got to stay. I think Daniel should have gone IMO, he's a good singer but nothing special. I love Laura White - she's got it all, she wasnt so good last night, but I think there's more to come from her and she seems really humble (like Leona). Cant stand Diana, awful I hate her voice sooo much (too much wailing like Dido/Cranberries - and I hate Dido aswell!), im sorry I know some of you love her (thank goodness we dont all like the same thing ) but her voice really grates on me and the "vuneralble urchin shrugged shoulders bare feet act" really does my head in aswell , awful. Laura, Austin and Alexandra in the final for me.
rachel19
They were all awful last night - that version of billie jean had us all cringing and considering they were meant to be doing michael jackson songs they seemed to pick the most obscure, boring ones. I think the one we liked the best was JLS last night as at least it was a bit more entertaining - Diana is awful, she's trying too hard to be quirky and different and the dragged through a hedge backwards hair do is just weird. I think eoghan should have gone - yes he's young and no-one wants to be mean to him but he's no where near as good as some of the others and last nights song was pretty awful. craftyhunnypie
I'm liking, Austin , Diana, Alexander & usually Laura, but hated Laura tonight. I thought Girlband were terrible - I mean what a rubbish name to start with - a lot of thought gone into that name! (joke). Daniel, my god he looks like Des O Connor & is absolutely so so old fashiloned, typical working mens club type singer! I like Diana's hippy style & unique voice. I adored Austins version of Billy Jean! Austin, Austin! Yeah baby yeah! Emma.x

I think they should have chosen better songs though... I hated Rachels song though - it was "Ooops, word censored!"!! xxxxxx

Don't know if its me going deaf or that they have really bad diction. Is that the right word?? that's the right word and Ian and I both said the same thing. Seems to be the way the English Language is going, people tend to miss parts of words off completely! I also thought Girls Aloud were totally dire! Seagazer
Just watched the results show and Girls Aloud were pants How many of them were off key? Hubby has seen them live and said they were much better. Actually hubby has said that he can't be bothered to watch any more because of the Louis/Simon sniping. Honestly you wouldn't think they were grown men. I liked Ruth better than Girl Band but she's not that good either, I'm not sure she stands out enough.
