buffie
RSPCA I think it's a garden box from homebase or wherever not suitable for a hen and anybody willing to buy it is probably going to convert it back into a box to store a spade in. We broke our two up last year to make way for the eglu thank goodness. It would get hot, very hot , what's possessed the guy I can't imagine BBx

Richard and Jo
Whats that thing on the grass in the background? I love the response to how you keep the foxes out. "I quote (in a stupid voice) wiv a concrete block" priceless.
bracken
do you throw it at the fox?
Sheilaz
Whats that thing on the grass in the background? Yes, I was wondering that! Present from a giant dog or a fox maybe? This has turned into the funniest thread now. What an idiot, and I still don't think he gets why anyone objected. I asked the first question...why are you using the name Eglu when it clearly isn't & pointed out he should remove it before it caused trouble...and he replied he was sorry I was offended! (I didn't say whether I had one or not) I wasn't offended, just couldn't believe my eyes! Please could we have the picture for a caption competition? I loved Tamsin's earlier comments, this thread started seriously, but the 101 uses for a tool box, & concrete block answer etc, has had me giggling. AnnieP
I couldn't quite believe the reply to my question about the fox. This guy truly has style eh? No wonder he thinks its as "ergonomic" as the Eglu (Sorry for all who missed it: That was a quote from the first listing).... Do you think he uses dustbin lids for feeders? One Man Banned
he probably uses lemonade bottles as water feeders!
Omlet Staff james Posted June 20, 2006 Omlet Staff Share Posted June 20, 2006 Hi guys, Thanks very much to Tamsin for spotting this. I emailed Ebay on Sunday and asked them to remove the auction. "Eglu" is one of our registered trademark and this chicken house clearly wasn't an eglu. Cheerio, James

Lesley-Jean
I saw the title of the "very inferior" hen house had changed. Well done Tamsin
chocchick
Could this be suitable for chickens? Is it for broody bantams only, do you just open the lid every morning so they fly out? He has such good feedback saying he has described everything well. I have laughed so much but then I keep worrying someone could keep chickens in it
The Dogmother
Me too choccy, perhaps his feedback is from his mates.....
Tamsin
Eglu does come up in my favourite search, which is why I found it. I was so excited, then the storage box emerged. It has to be the funniest thread.... now what was that in the background of the piccy

Sheilaz
...and the postage is £17, so imagine paying £38 total! Although, if you can collect it, you get the concrete square with a hole in it. .....to use as a foxproof porch... Shall I ask how much it would be to post the porch? Hellcat
Yeah, go on then. I asked him about red mite, he said the bars are silicone sealed so there would deffo be no mite. There you go boys, what have you been thinking of giving us nice wooden bars, we could have had nice silicone sealed ones instead!!
