The Dogmother
If anyone has their eglu/cube delivered by a tall bald bloke from Omlet, who is an expert on chooks, then say 'Hello Phil' to him (and give him some cake).... it's my Boy! Illustration work is thin on the ground at the moment, so he's driving an Omlet chicken van around the country delivering and constructing eglus and cubes. The Boy is loving every minute of it... even the 6.30am starts from the Mothership! here's a picture so that you know him:
buffie
Good for him and hope he loves every minute. Buffie x

laurmurf
what a fab job.... good luck to him! I'll have to show my lads when they get back from school - I can guarantee YS will say that's what he wants to be when HE grows up! (i'd be much happier too!) Tina C
I think I may have to order a cube just so I get a visit...
The Dogmother
I think I may have to order a cube just so I get a visit... he'd love that Tina...... however, they have other drivers, so I can't guarantee who you would get. He's delivering in Kent today; one of the drops is to a titled lady wonder if she'll be on the forum?

I doubt it, that skinny minny never puts on an ounce! How is that? You do know that they will be expecting him to bring in lemon drizzle cake, don't you? Only if I made it - he's a hopeless cook! hillfamily
That's such a job :D Hope Phil's enjoying a change of scene and not eating too much cake He might deliver my friends new cube (Southampton area in about 3 weeks)
little chickadee
Great news Claret. I hope that he enjoys it and that the illustration work picks up again soon.
The Dogmother
He might deliver my friends new cube (Southampton area in about 3 weeks) You'll have to get them to report back! We can play spot the Omlet driver Unfortunately he only knows which run he's on the night before, but he might be able to request a certain one; we'll have to see. He was only going to do relief driving to cover holidays etc, but it's full time at the moment, which suits him as he can do any illustration work in the evenings. theherd123
Brilliant news and well done Phil! What a friendly face to pitch up and set up an eglu or cube.
lisa33
That's great news. I have to confess to being slightly envious. I can think of lots worse jobs than driving round delivering eglu, cubes, chickens & happiness. Maybe he'll be doing my delivery on the 3rd October? craftyhunnypie
Ooo what a lovely job! I think you shouls buy him some nice bright crocs - just so he feels one of the Omlet family. Oh & maybe a poncho for when he has to put up eglus & cubes in bad weather. Wish he'd delived my eglu, as my delivery bloke was a bit mizzy & rush rush. He'll be coming home saying he's had all sorts of cake! Good for him! Emma.x
The Dogmother
Errr, I'm afraid that he'd rather eat his own toenails than wear Crocs... the lad has no taste!

Guest
How cool Making me think again about . We get NightFrieght normally as we are "just" outside the delivery area.
