Snowy
I bought two sacks of feed the other day. Asked 17 year old son to get them out of the car for me and take them to the shed. No problem, and he even tipped them into the feed bin for me! Only when I next went to refill the grubs did I realise he had tipped the new feed on top of the feed scoop, which is now somewhere at the bottom of the bin underneath all the pellets

Willow
I love teenage boys ! they can combine enthusiasm with lack of thought so that they are exasperating but endearing at the same time. Hope you didn't say anything to him, it was lovely of him to sort the feed.
hillfamily
You have to love them........they're gorgeous in a helpful but useless way :D :D just like the time my lad thought he would be helpful and plug the hoover in for me, to save me walking up and down the stairs to the socket ............he just didn't switch it on
MedusA
I don't think teenagers and common sense can be put in the same sentence, Snowy! Dare I say, it is a male thing too? I have to spell everything out for my OH, or it's not done "properly". (Apologies to all the male posters who are good at these things). Seagazer
I'm so glad its not just me with my darling 17 year old Edited to add - sometimes I swear he looks at me as if I'm talking a totally different language
Geoid
I don't think teenagers and common sense can be put in the same sentence. Insulting teenagers now... I will think you will find most teenagers have good common sense. Don't tar all teenagers with the same brush, makes me very angry!
Seagazer
Obviously we didn't mean to include all teenagers Fred - just our own!

Snowy
Do you know I never even considered telling him what he'd done (and I won't). I think common sense is something teenagers get when out of the house or when talking to non family members - it's just when they are around their parents their brain glazes over

Egluntyne
It is very useful having a couple of strapping lads around the place, to heave bales of Aubiose about. We have had the scoop scenario here too.

Tiggy
our DD will be 20 next week so officially no longer a teenager maybe will even learn how to put a clean duvet cover on her own bed. DS will be 17 next month & will do everything I ask him to do to the letter, so I have to be careful how I put things, so its my fault if it all goes wrong I love them both to bits, its great fun having them & their friends around, sort of reminds me of when I was their age, not that they believe I was ever their age
ubereglu
Snowy, if you wiggle your feed bin around in a circle your feed scoop should come back up the the top again, (in theory). Saw a similar trick on a smaller scale on a TV programme-it's worth a try.
