Daughter's homework - help!!

Recommended Posts

You are my last resort. Nine year old DD has been given a paper plate and told to make a garden on it. :? My original idea was to do a kind of allotment and make the veg etc out of tissue paper but I really don't know how to do that.

Has anyone done anything like this????

We've got to hand it in next Monday so we've got a few days. PLEASE help.

Ooh Ooh - I love crafty projects. Your daughter could make a fab vege plot. Use scrumpled up green tissue paper to make cabbages and bits of coloured sponge for other veges. Pipe cleaners are great for little trees/pea plants etc, with little twigs for bean canes. Pieces of felt also work very well for this type of thing - little orange triangles for carrots etc.

And don't forget the little chicks pecking around in the background

Hope this helps.

Er. Who's homework is it?

With one son I'm afraid I helped him quite a bit with homework like this. Resolved to do better with other.

He came home and had to make a bird table for woodwork. He was a bit older. I found it the other day clearing the garden. We called it the bird macerator - it was wonderful but he never got the hang of putting in nails and they stuck out at angles. :?:?
