GreenGirl
those £10 deals are really good, the wine is lovely My local M&S is the massive one at the Meadows in Camberley - best avoided on a Friday evening when all that was left was the potato pie
cordelia
Silly question time I'm afraid.... I looked in M&S one day for this offer..it was a small M&S, and I was in a rush....do you have to find all the components all over the store..and hope you've chosen the correct items to qualify.....or do they have them in one large section.... I have to say I gave up....so we didnt get the wine..or the rest...and just got mince instead LOL !!! the store did advertise the offer in the window... susanbb
Just love this offer. It is such good value for money. I do think you have to buy all the components to get the complete offer... but well worth it. they do usually have them together to make it easier. Dodge
I went for this deal, I got a whole chicken + roast potatoes + bottle of wine, however they had run out of puddings. At the till they charged me the individual prices which came to £7-36 and then they gave me a voucher for £5-00 for the lack of the pudding. seemed like a good deal to me
The Dogmother
Good to hear that you got recompense for the lack of pud The friend who sent this to me says that she has enough leftovers to last for a couple of days - she lives alone. craftyhunnypie
As we don't eat chicken of any kind & are a bit tired of lasagne, moussaka etc - then we are giving it a miss this time. Not tempted by anything. We enjoyed the pork medallions in apple & cider sauce last time. Waitrose have done one about a month or so ago - fabulous. They are doing another before Xmas, but don't know when. Emma.x
The Dogmother
I would only eat the chikcen if I could be sure that it was free range, but there are lots of other lovely things on there. You'll have to let me know when the Waitrose one comes up Emma.
Cinnamon
I would love to know when the Waitrose one is too, please I am toddling back off to M&S this morning to get some bit for The Hubby & I for Saturday night - quite fancy the Punjabi Chicken. The girls can have pizza or something,so they won't be complaining either
..lay a little egg for me
Are the M&S chicken dishes free range? I got the lemon sole because I couldn't see anywhere on the packets of the chicken dishes whether they were FR...and I fancied the indian dish! Mind you, I also feel a bit guilty about the fish as most fish are massively overfished and our seas are in desperate straits. If DS wasn't such a committed meat-eater, I might go vegetarian but I can't be doing with cooking two meals every night
The Dogmother
Caroline, so far as I understand, none of the chikcen in their prepared dishes is free range - it's intensively farmed pap from Tahiland which is why I steer clear of them. Some of their 'other chicken' like thighs and roasting birds are free range, but you have to check the label carefully. It's a subject that I have taken up with both M&S and Waitrose... the idea of having free range chicken meat in their prepared dishes; it's the next logical step for them so feel free to lobby them.
