Ange1
Noticed the chucks doing rather a lot of preening, one in particular dipping her beak in the water and preening her neck and pulling out the odd feather. Could not see anything, but thought its about time to try the powder that I bought a while ago. So whilst my affianced held the bird, I put some powder in my hand and tried rubbing it into the feathers. However needless to say both Mark and myself will be free from red mite and lice for the forseeable future, however I am not convinced the poor hen got much in the places that count! Anybody got any handy hints Angel

cordelia
quick question..do Diatom and Red Mite Powder do the same job?? or do I need to buy some Red Mite Powder too???
badgerbluebadger
good question - I would also like to know the answer
Christian
I think that red mite powder is a chemical treatment, where as diatom works by cutting the mites and dehydrating them. I add diatom and red mite powder to the dust bath and let them self administer
