Poor Holly

Recommended Posts

Poor Holly, one of our ex-batts has spent the last three nights in our conservatory all snuggled up in a towel. She isn't ill - just old. She can't make the ladder of the cube any more. She is eating but then she falls asleep and falls over. She isn't in pain at all so that's a blessing but it's so sad. She is outside enjoying a bit of freedom at the moment but an hour is usually all she can manage. She fell asleep on my lap last night all snuggled up in her towel. Hubby has been feeding her mealworms and sweetcorn which she has gobbled down at the rate of knots!

She has had 11 months and 1 day of freedom so far so that's got to be a bonus.

She is still going although I can't say strong. She is still sleeping in the conservatory at night with short spells outside during the day. She only lasted 15 minutes outside today before she fell over and couldn't move so hubby brought her in and fed her half a tin of mackerel.

She has perked up a lot now and has had a little wander over to the cat and back. She then fell asleep though so it's obviously tiring for her.

We are going to talk tonight about plans for going to the vets if her quality of life is compromised more.
