Cinnamon
According to the press today its fairly common to be addicted to lip balm. So, hands up here, I am a lip balm addict At the moment I am using Badger lip balm in Cinnamon bay, which is wonderfully spicy & a really nice consistency, & Burts Bees tinted lip balm in Guava, which is a lovey soft pink colour,or Rhubarb when I am feeling bold, which is a soft red. Both are really minty & make your lips tingle too. Oh,I am also using Benefits Benetint balm, & Cherry Carmex at night. Told you I was addicted
Egluntyne
I am ...most definitely. I have tins, pots tubes and sticks all over the place. My fave is Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour lip balm.

Guest
I read an article years ago that said that the more you used lipbalms, the more you stripped the lips of their natural moisture. I have no idea if it's true or not, but I try and avoid using them unless really necessary, and even then, I just use a slick of vaseline. The Dogmother
I am ...most definitely. I have tins, pots tubes and sticks all over the place. My fave is Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour lip balm. I love the 8 hour one too, and have them scattered all over the place: Dressing table: one by Shiseido, chicken poop lip salve, pot of Carmex Bathroom: Vaseline with aloe, 8 hour cream Desk at work: Shiseido and chicken poop Bag: Forever Living Aloe lip balm, Nivea lip care balm/gloss It's a bit like hand cream - I have them dotted al over the place too as I have eczema on my hands and they get very dry and cracked in this weather. Looney
I am also an addict I have all sorts. A medicated Blistex one, a couple of L'Occitane ones, a Palmers Cocoa Butter one (which I had just applied before reading this thread ), another Palmers one that has a nice sheen to it, a tin of Vaseline (the green aloe one) oh and about 10 other ones knocking about in various rooms of the house, in handbags, in coat pockets ......... craftyhunnypie
Not an addict but I've got a naughty but nice couple of lip balms. They are made to look like cup cakes. My favourite one is cream tart. My mum bought them off the counter at Evans, but prezziebox sell them too & so do ebay. Emma.x
Ain't Nobody Here
I have one: beside my bed in my handbag (and other handbags too) in every jacket I own in the kitchen on a bookcase in the living room beside the sofa in the PC desk in the car Addict? Me? Nah .

Rhapsody
I like the Nivea ones with a slight tint. I have about 3 in every handbag (and I have many handbags, but that's a whole extra )
chickencam
I used to use all sorts of different ones but now just vasaline every night before I go to bed and my lips are fine even in this cold whereas before they were always cracked, so maybe there is some truth in then causing dryness

I have about 3 in every handbag (and I have many handbags, but that's a whole extra ) Oh no Rhapsody, don't start me on handbags............................ If you like Balms with a hint of colour,I would really recommend the Burts Bees ones - they are fab
gracefruit
Addict here, too. I make my own, and they are stashed all over the house, my warehouse, and my car. When I need my lip balm, I NEED it right away. I'm never more than three feet from a tube or pot of lip balm. To avoid real addiction (where your lips dry out if you don't put on lip balm several times a day), avoid balms with petrochemicals. They can really do a number on your skin. bluekarin
*hand up* I too am a lip balm addict. I do however, tend to leave them in my jeans pockets and they get washed and so I end up with empty tubes or I forget where I put them and have to buy some more I have two of the little Vaseline tins, one original and one Aloe Vera which smells lovely. I also love the Carmex ones and keep meaning to get some of the Burt's Bees ones as they look gorgeous. I do find if I use them too much them they do have a negative effect on my lips. My ED is now also a lip balm addict and although not a shopper, insisted I bought her a Jelly Belly one in bubblegum flavour!
Lesley
I read an article years ago that said that the more you used lipbalms, the more you stripped the lips of their natural moisture. I have no idea if it's true or not, but I try and avoid using them unless really necessary, and even then, I just use a slick of vaseline. I read the same Shona - and I try to avoid them ..........but never manage I have, however, changed to only using beeswax based ones and not the petro-chemical ones, so I have a Chicken Poop one on my desk and Burts Bees ones everywhere else (handbag, dressing table, bathroom....) I find the vaseline based ones make my lips dry and sore - I'm with Savonista on this one.
Cinnamon
One from Lush did horrible things to my lips, & gave me a sore in the corner of my mouth too. Shame, because it smelt of cinnamon & apple pie....yum! I stick to Badger or Burts Bees now. For my girls stockings,I found them a french Toast flovour & a hot buttered popcorn, which I am sure will be popular

Lesley
Thanks Sarah - oooooh! that's made me hungry, they do a Pilsbury Cinnamon Roll one I thought you meant Burt's Bees ones though - I'd better stick with those. I only have a plain one and didn't realise they did cloured/flavoured ones.....I'll have a proper look on Saturday.
Cooks
I wear it all day everyday too, I have to, we keep the nursery so warm for the kids that my lips dry out.... well that's my excuse I love new ones though, my SIL is great at little things like this as an addition in my birthday present. One of my favourites I got this way, it's in a tiny little tin, I cant remember who makes it now and would you believe I cant find it! but I will add it later when I do.
