Redwing
One of my members of staff is relocating back to Scotland as life down south has not met with her expectations. She has been a good member of staff and I have offered to 'drop' her home after work on Friday. Just Googled it and its 416 miles away!!! I have driven to Scotland before so knew it would be a long way but it was still a shock! I sure hope the karma fairy is making notes..... Angels4
I LOVE a good road trip.... Stock up on snacks, make a traveling music cd and hit the open roads. Redwing
She has offered a bed for the night but I will probably shack up in a Travelodge and wend my way gently homewards on Saturday. This lady has been a great asset to our team and I will be sorry to see her go

fowlbird
have you checked the route against a proper map? The first time I went to a friend's new house I got the route online and if I hadn't known that her village is just north of High Wycombe I might well have taken the M4, M25 and then the A404 as they said... instead I went A4/A404... where exactly is it you're going to? fowlbird
where exactly is it you're going to? The place is called Perth - I will check our a normal map as per your advice! best check a map - from where you are it may be as simple as M40, M42, M6 and up to Glasgow then across to Edinburgh and up the M90... we found it a lot quicker to go to Glasgow and across than to go straight up on an A road. Good luck with the trip and don't forget to send us a postcard!
