Some sprouts were going on sale near me so i bought some. I hate them. OH hates them. The girls LOVE them! Raw though. Not too sure they'd appreciate them cooked with gravy and stuffing! quite funny watching them with their own 'mini cabbage'

I love sprouts that are still a lovely bright green and a little al dente. When they're cooked too much they go muddy green and sloppy and smell yukky....each to their own

My girls are eating the trimmings from a pile of sprouts right now. They love them.

 

Last year, a sprout hater on the forum called them "the boils on Satan's bottom". The image has stayed with me for a whole year.

My girls always leave leftover sprouts and carrots until they are desparate! They much prefer leftover roast potatoes and yorkshire puddings!

 

My four year old daughter,however, has decided that sprouts are now her favourite veg, and was dissappointed when there were none with the school xmas dinner!

My 10 year old daughter loves all vegetables apart from Aubergine and doesn't really like meat. So last year for Christmas Day lunch she had her own individual sprout risotto. She loved it.

Yum, sprouts - any way, mushy, al-dente, raw. I love this time of year. DD likes them too and my brother only eats them raw. OH isn't fond, DS is a carnivore so not for him. If you order a veggie Biryani from our local Indian restaurant, they always have some sprouts in it.

Well you asked for it................ My hubbie is the cook in our house and he used this recipe but added pre-cooked quartered sprouts instead of asparagus.

I personally wouldn't touch it with a barge pole, but Harriet liked it. She didn't however like hubbie's homemade sprout raviolli don't even go there.......even he hated that one.

YUCK I hate sprouts mom used to boil them to within an inch of their life & the smell even now makes my stomach churn, everyone else at home love them, but i flatly refuse to grow sprouts in my veggie patch

I love sprouts too (but not mushy ones). We are lucky to be able to buy them straight from an organic farm and get them still on the stalk. I carefully cut the sprouts off leaving the outer leaves on the sprout 'tree' then hang this up for the girls which they love.

steam your sproats lightly.

Then fry them in lots of butter with carroway seeds in and a bit of thyme.

 

Can be steamed in advance, then only takes a few minutes to fry them up ready for Christmas dinner

I love them raw- great for iron! The girls like them; the dogs like them; my son loves them and green beans- Adz hates them!

Oh my god , we have to open all the windows in the house if my dad's been round and eaten sprouts as it is, if they were curried I can't imagine how bad it would be
