I think he does it on purpose for effect and is actually very intelligent and laughing at us for faling for it  .

Either that or he has a rare form of stage fright that renders its victims brainless muppets when presented with a microphone.:lol:

I mean they wouldn't let a bumbling baffoon with the mental capacity of a glass of water run the most powerful country in the world would they? would they?

I think the new guy will have to work hard to appear more stupid then Mr Bush does.

Sometimes I say daft things - which means there is no way I would have ever gone into politics - too embarrassing! :silenced:

I expect we'll see more of the same sooner or later - I will be sorry to see him go just because of the howlers.

Kev - he does it on purpose!!! Well that's one to think about.

Gosh, I hadn't thought of that!

My fave of his was

"There's an old saying in Tennessee - I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee - that says, fool me once, shame on... shame on you. Fool me - you can't get fooled again."

Nashville, Tennessee, 17 September, 2002

It was shown again on tv recently (can't remember which programme though, prob HIGNFY) and it was so embarassingly awful.

Lewis Hamilton pointed at me and laughed during the drivers' parade at the Singapore Grand Prix. Does that count?

Well, I was wearing flashing bunny ears and holding a Union Flag.

... and it goes without saying I was wearing orange overalls...
