Ain't Nobody Here

The least likely hate mail recipient ever

Recommended Posts

 How very dare they?!

I am firmly of the state of mind that says, "I may not agree with your opinion, but I will defend your right to have your views."

In this case, I actually agree with what DA is saying. People who send hate mail are worthy only of contempt! (Which is my opinion - obviously!)

Hmmmm...not a very christian thing sending hate mail :(

Tessa

my first thought too

please be assured that proper Christians don't behave like this, we respect the right of everyone to believe what they want to. Anyway it would be hypocritcal of Mr Attenborough to talk about creationism and God if he doesn't believe in them.

It's a shame that some people have such little conviction in their beliefs that they can't stand up and put forward an intelligent case to the person they dislike. People who send these sort of things are usually cowardly creatures, who think that vile bully techniques will wear down a person into submission.

The trouble is that the creationists do have conviction in their beliefs. :? Unbelievable as it might seem to those of us who live in the real world.

Can't see what these people hope to achieve tbh.

I agree that sending hate mail is horribly intolerant and (seems to me) unchristian, and I'm impressed that DA responds, and with a rational argument as to why he does not believe. The senders don't really deserve his measured response, but good on yer David !

But sadly, not enough conviction to stand up and be seen - instead they hide behind faceless words - the cowards way out.

What do they hope to achieve? People use hate mail to intimidate, to try and silence people, to try and chase them away.

They have picked the wrong one with DA then.Did they really think that a man if his calibre would bend to their way of thinking just because of a few wacky letters and threats.
