Chickvic
Didn't get the job but S who got it is very good. I think I was too stressed which is not a good start Well it's a learning curve isn't it? It was an awful interview though - I think I knew from the start I hadn't got it. We had to read a story to a class (aged 4-5) then play a maths game, then get interviewed by the deputy head and the school council - 16 children and then an interview with the head and governers. S already does the job part time so her hours will be upped and she already works in a reception class so I do feel she had the edge over me. Never mind - there's something out for me! I've just got to find it
ClaireG
I'm soory to hear you didn't get the job. Im a great believer that what was meant to be doesn't pass you by. Chook n Boo Mum
Sorry, it didn't go as you'd hoped , but as has been said before something better & more suited to you could be just around the corner. I must admit I'd find it very daunting to be watched whilst reading to & playing games with littlies etc...and as far as being interviewed by 16 children- eek! Chalk it all up to experience, Sha x
Milly
I'm sorry to hear you didn't get the job. It sounds like a daunting series of interviews to go through! Not much consolation now, but good luck for the future. Milly

Patricia W
Remember that at least you signalled that you were interested in doing more and willing to face a challenge. I've always found that putting yourself forward has results in the end, whether it's simply giving you more experience in interviews, or making you noticeable to someone who offers you something even better a little later on. Ask them for feedback to see how you can improve next time. And- always remember it's not YOU as a person being rejected - it's simply the match between your present level of skills and the job. I'm sure something positive will come out of it for you. Keep the faith. And talk to the chickens..... Tricia x
