My Cube is coming on Monday and I'm sooooo excited! - + pix!

Recommended Posts

I second that.........I put Gordon my lovely (cube green) together all by myself and it all went smoothly (until I found my roof dlifers were missing  )

An electric screwdriver is a MUST otherwise you might be there sometime and have really achy arms :D I think your present choice for OH was spot on :D

My OH is probably getting a pressure washer instead of an Easter Egg

It's here! I've already worked out that building it in the house is not a good idea, so will have to wait until morning. It has the new big door, I think!

It came a day early though, grrrr. I had a phone call whilst teaching a class of children from the delivery man looking for my house. Fortunately my neighbour took all the boxes in. I'll be contacting omlet, as they had put Weds down on the delivery note.

Already spotted a few little bits missing - hopefully I'll be able to get the bulk of it together whilst awaiting things like p clips and wing nuts. grrrr again - not good at over £600 an order.

But ... very excited about going to choose new girls and OMG it's HEUGE!!!!

congratulations :D the missing items should get sent to you really quick. I cannot understand why so many of these are sent with little items missing. Omlet really should bag and seal all the items needed and then it's just one bag they need to grab with all the nuts, screws etc and easy to see if it's there or not when they pack. :)

My (cube green) came without bits.......run clips, a grub and the run sliders. I called Omlet Monday morning and the bits were delivered the following morning by my lovely (he wears shorts all the time) postman :D

Those P clips are ***naughty word*****. The hole in the plastic bit isn`t big enough for the screw . I think each one took me ten mins....and then......I realised i had put the run sections on upside down and had to so them all again  I knew I got blonde highlights for a reason

Have fun buildings your cube.....pics please :D

Well, my youngest is a dab hand with the electric screwdriver - and it has a little light on it! We've got as far as we can with it on the patio, but will have to move it into position to get the run fixed on.

They've vowed to get up early in the morning to carry on - we'll see!

The build is on.

My 9 year old has proven a dab hand with the electric screwdriver. Discovering more missing parts - like the partition between the nest box and the roosting area! Strewth. Not good really, is it?

Now am trying to get the lid on alone, which is not a good plan as it's rather heavy. Once I've got the house built I can ring omlet with the definitive list of what is missing.

... and once it's done I can ring the poultry supplier.

Aw thanks - it's great to be able to chat about it here, my rl friends think I'm mad!

There are some great dust hollows under that tree!!

I tell you something, though, the new girls' poo absolutely reeks - hope it's just stress of change and whatever the breeder was feeding them on!

when I got my news girls they were a bit squitty and whiffy, but I add brokashi bran to my layers pellets so soon as that was in their system them returned to normal.

I have a skyline, she looks a bit like the colouring of yours I think... just laid me her very first egg yesterday.... !eggcream! with blue speckles on one side *lol*

THanks leccy b - how exciting is all this! Deeply envious / hoping of that blue speckledy egg. and yep, am just ordering bokashi from wiggly wigglers!

Hope my jasmine has feathers left when (b.troll) black rock has finished pecking at her. grrr. I'm sure they'll settle down, but I'm wondering if I should have got the light sussex beauty or another jasmine instead! I'm sure that edna and obi hen will teach the black rock a lesson or two when they range together.
