buffie
Anyone else following F1 on the Beeb? We're supporting Brawn GP and good old Jenson! We're really enjoyed the new format and nice to hear the old music back! Buffie x
Mrs Frugal
We've seen bits of both races and I'm so pleased Jenson is doing so well . The music takes me back to being a little girl again, watching the Grand Prix with my Dad and little brother in the days of Emerson Fittipaldi, Niki Lauder, James Hunt and Mario Andretti (I'm really showing my age, aren't I ) . Guest
Yep enjoying it being advert free! I don't like the new commentators voice though. I guess I will get used to him.

Yes Kate same memories, what a difference now but the cars are looking like the older ones which is great The drivers are not only talented but top athletes these days. Pengy the new commentator is a little irritating and I hope we'll just get used to him. It's the fact he's worked on radio apparently. I love the pre race banter so looking forward to it again in 2 weeks. DC has improved with age, really handsome Buffie x
ClaireG
Brawn are only just down the road from us. So i am supporting them and the lovely Mr Button. There must have been some testing or similar going on at Silverstone the other week as i could hear it from my garden. Think i'm going to need earplugs for the GP and won't be able to go out for traffic
Omletina Kyckling
I'm following it too. Have followed F1 since I was a girl and was a big Mansell fan, then later on Schumi. I think it's hilarious the way they are all going on about Jenson suddenly. For the past few years it's been "Jenson who?" whilst Lewis was winning races and they carried on as if Lewis was the second coming, the best driver ever etc. but this year, when Jenson has a better car and the McLaren isn't so good, the rolls are reversed! I've always liked Jenson Button so I'm pleased he finally has a good car and is winning races. I'm also happy that the Brawn team is doing so well. I always liked Ross Brawn when he was with Schumi. It does prove once again that it's mostly down to the car, we've heard little of Barrichello for the past few years, pretty much since he was at Ferrari but now the Brawn is the most competitive car, he's back in the limelight (like him too!) I agree with Penguinmad, the lack of adverts is what makes it best on BBC - I used to hate it when they kept cutting away for adverts and they'd come back and you'd missed lots. The only thing is, you don't want to move to go put the kettle on or pop to the loo in case you miss anything now, at least you had an excuse with the adverts! Great to hear The Chain again too!! quickcluck
We are following too! Loving DC, Eddie and I think his name is Jake...... excellent with no adverts and we are supporting Braun! Fingers crossed for them.... It's strange how Jenson got swallowed up last year tho...... but did you see his dad yesterday? He looks like a lovely man.... Blackrocksrock
Used to watch this every time it was on until they started mucking about and making people go slower to let the other win etc etc and now its not a race really at all for the drivers - they have to do as they are told and I got fed up of it. buffie
We've been supporting Jenson since the darker Honda days really, Michael worked with them for over a year and now Brawn. Nice to have Brackley back on the map too Give the guy a great car and an amazing technical director in Ross and hey presto we see his true performance Go Jenson Buffie x
Purplemaniacs
My Mum and Dad used to live in Brackley, so it is great to hear that Brawn are doing well and getting Brackley a mention on TV. Chrissie
Helly Welly
I'm loving the BBC's coverage. I've grown up with F1 and can remember the old glory days when the cars were real cars and the drivers would have occasional punch ups after they took each other off. I must say, Eddie Jordan is horrendously annoying but DC is proving to be a very good commentator. I also love the extra stuff you get from the BBC. The red button stuff is good, you can even get CBBC commentary. They really are eclipsing the coverage provided by ITV and it is soooo good not having advert breaks. We always record and watch later so as not to take up the whole day so we can pause for a cuppa when necessary. Jenson is doing brilliantly and it's well deserved. He's always been a class driver, he's just never had the right car. Now we just have to wait for the outcome of the hearing into the diffusers. It's no coincidence that the fastest cars at the moment are the "diffuser three". I suspect that all the other cars will have to convert to the controversial diffusers rather than Brawn have to change theirs. Lewis and McLaren doing badly is wonderful news in this house, we can't stand them. Lifelong Ferrari fans here and it breaks my heart to see them doing badly at the moment. It's a hangover from last season, fighting up to the last minute has meant they've had less development time for the F60 as say Brawn have had. Blimey, i sound really boring don't I?!? Sorry but F1 is brilliant and i'm quite passionate about it. My Dad used to work for the driving school at Silverstone and i never tire of telling people that And i don't mind all the controversy either, it adds to the excitement as far as i'm concerned. Minnie the Moocher
Big F1 fans here too. Really pleased for Ross Braun's team. What a start to the season for them! I wish they'd stop tinkering with the final positions, though, it's irritating.

dancing cloud
Been a follower of F1 since 1992 and it's good to have such an interesting start to a season - not just Brawn/Button (which is fab ), but other teams doing differently than expected as well. Loving it so far!
bronze
Sorry Buffie it tickled me. I've been supporting Button. I think more because Lewis annoyed me so rebelled against everyone. Its nice to see JB doing so well now.
