The Dogmother Posted April 20, 2009 Share Posted April 20, 2009 No you're not, it is all set up - those three judges can't possibly sit through zillions of entrants; they get paid far too much to give up that amount of time. My understanding (from a friend in TV) is that the entrants are filtered to come up with a selection of 'good, bad and ugly' to make good TV, but that the judges aren't given all the information to keep it as 'spontaneous' as possible. I agree! Just youtubed her version of Cry Me a River and think it to be on a par with, if not a bit more moving than, the version by the great Babs Streisand. On the one hand, she does have the most fantastic voice and deserves to "make it" and wouldn't that be great - but- given her life so far, could she handle the "stardom", the lifestyle Probably not, not without someone genuinely looking after her interests. The place will be crawling with unscrupulous individuals who have just crawled out the woodwork.
