Isn't she.......and very likeable with it. I Sky plussd it and keep having to re watch it.

 

That high note is amazing and the looks of rapt attention on the judges faces after their initial surprise are a joy to watch.

I hope they DO give her a makeover!! She scared me a little on the first time and i think that she particular shade of beige she was wearing was not flattering at all!

 

Anyone would feel a but more confident knowing they'd had their makeover done by professionals!!! As long as they dont try and dress her inappropriately and keep some sense of herself, im all for the makeover!!!

I didn't see Britain's got talent, but mum told me to watch her on you tube. I watched her last night & I got a lump in my throat at her singing ' I dreamed a dream in time gone by'.

Absolutely beautiful!

She deserves to win as she is a normal lady.

I'd like her tidied up a bit - a better dress, like an evening dress & maybe some nice court shoes. Her hair - I would s"Ooops, word censored!"e back the sides & make it look like an 'up do'.

I wouldn't give her a total makeover, just tidy her up.

She is so lovely!

She is fae bonnie Scotland and we are so proud of her up here = she is just wonderful and the goose bumps when you listen to her are there every time.

I hope they dont spoil her but the eyebrows the hair and the dress need tp be addressed as she would be stunning in colours instead of beige. Tidy up the brows and a slight hair change but nothing drastic - love to see her again then. Will love her anyway whatever.

That is true . My OH commented that if a beautiful 20 yr old girl sang like that, it wouldn't even make the local news, let alone worldwide .

Maybe that is what is disturbing me about the whole thing. For some reason I feel very uneasy about this story. I think it mentioned in the Daily Mail that the lady had learning difficulties and I just hope that people don't take advantage of her.

 

Part of me is also disturbed that people were expecting her to be up there for entertainment value for the wrong reasons and it says something about us that we were all so surprised that she came out with such a good voice.

 

I am honest enough to say that I would probably have been one of those people had I watched the original broadcast. I don't actually like these sort of programmes and find them quite cringeable. Those of you around last year will remember that I know "Betty" who sang a bit of an off colour song on the X-Factor and I found that pretty cringeable too!

I hope they don't change her at all - she is the proof if ever there were doubters that talent has absolutely nothing to do with the way you look and I love the fact that this programme, which is watched by lots of youngsters who are brought up on a diet of body image ruling supreme, is teaching them something different.

Do you think that the judges really don't know what is coming? I am so cynical of those programmes that I can't help thinking that they knew damn well that she was going to have a great voice and were putting the surprise on.

 

Perhaps I am just too much of a Grumpy Old Woman!!
