If you were me...

where would you have put

the moses basket cover thingy. Its for the moses basket thats been handed down. It didnt have a cover so I made one when I had dd. Ok it wasn't great (sewings/pattern cutting not my forte) but it did the job and now I've lost it. Its not with the baby bedding or anywhere logical like that.

I'm tempted to just buy some new ones but theres only a few on ebay that arent cheesy or frilly (I made mine with plain white sheet) and they're all too big.

So where is it?

wish I had given it to your mum.

ok looked in attic/airing cupboard/linen/baby bedding.

Don't think I could make a new one. I'm not very good at that stuff and my mum helped me last time.

I have no idea. I'll find it the day I move him into a cot.

Airing cupboard, drawers under bed, plastic bag of spare bedding/towels etc. You'd have put it somewhere dry and where it wouldn't get damaged - do you have a drawer for tea-towels or tablecloths or something like that? Or maybe you stored it with other baby stuff.

Top shelves in wardrobe?

I'm still looking for a 2' long clock pendulum that I misplaced when I moved ... :(

Did you put all the new baby outfits in drawers already? Has it got mixed up with all those? Did you take it to anybodys house to show what you had made? Could you have left it there? Is it still in your hospital bag? Did you take it with you for some reason?

I hope you find it soon *crosses fingers*

I eventually found the family Christening dress when we dismantled our old bed to make way for a new one - the underbed drawer ahd started to come apart and it had gone through the gap and was right in the middle of the space under the drawer.

I did move the bed when I vacuumed, but only a couple of feet one way and then a couple of feet the other way and so never actually cleaned the middle 1'
