4m x 3m Omlet pen, cube, new auto door still boxed and coop light

I just had to share with you that I am a woman on a mission!! I am systematically sorting the entire house, every cupboard in every room, no stone unturned.

 

My new dining room is finally finished and my old dining room is now a family room and I need to make space for DD rocking horse (arriving tomorrow) and also I'd love to find the lead to my laptop!!! I'm in the study now and it's taking longer as i keep getting distracted . . . . .

Blimey, that would take me a good fortnight!! I'm blitzing DD's room at the moment but just doing a little at a time. It got so bad it was beyond her capabilities. She has had her laptop taken away until it is done so she's still being punished. I know children's rooms get messy but DD takes it to a whole new level.

Our house needs doing and I'm dreading it - bad enough just trying to do the routine housework with the gremlins that follow me around undoing it

Well I've finally finished the study!!! First time I've seen carpet since the new year!!! I know this as i found Christmas bits and receipts! DD room is now sorted, she's so excited by her rocking horse coming tomorrow that she took an age to settle down. Still haven't founf the laptop lead. Maybe it's at work . .

We bought a new bookshelf thing for DVD's, and so got all our DVD and CD's out and boxed them all in the right boxes.

 

Now we have 2 big piles of disks with no boxes, and a pile of boxes with no disks!

My step daughter is getting married on the 23rd May AND she and her bridesmaids are staying here the night before AND she is having the photographer here on the morning AND her mother is coming here (that feels quite creepy to me) so that she can be in some photos and can go to the church with the bridesmaids AND we are having a barbecue on the day after for the couple (who don't go on honeymoon till the following day) AND some forty guests AND my house is a mess

I have always been rather untidy (family trait!), but started to get embarrassed when friends came around, then I found Fly Lady. She's an internet cleaning guru, its a bit american, but really useful.

I have a lovely houseproud aunt whose never had kids or animals and is almost a--l about tideiness and cobwebs. She came on Sunday for YS 8th birthday and was scrutinising everything. I get quite stressed but refuse to rise to the bait. I still ( and I know its old fashioned use a teapot\) and it is often tea stained (yes really ) and she got so worked about it my dad who gets fed up with her teling him what to do was waiting for a war of words but i let it pass . however when she remarked on the large plant in front garden and said "what are we going to do about this?" I replied thro gritted teeth " We aren't doing anything aboiut this" 1-0 to me I think I love a good fight. But my house is "lived in" in other words a b---dy mess - sorry mods. but there u go - feel free to come for a fortnight and do out my cupboards after you've surfaced when everything has dropped on top of you

I have cleaning blasts every now and then, when the mood takes me.

 

I read fly ladys site a few years ago and it wore me out just reading it, never mind actually doing it! Joking aside, the shining your sink business really does make sense and it the first thing I do when I Do the kitchen.
