chickencam
I am a brown hen too, so is ED. M&S are pretty hopeless they kept insisting that my daughter was a 32A and she was really uncomfortable, she is slim but has a broad back and is really a 34/36B same as me. Breast feeding did not do me any favours and I need a full cup bra to hold it all together such a shame because there are so many pretty styles out there. The Dogmother
I've just been reading an article in The Mail about the campaign against M&S's decision to charge extra for larger bras as they require 'more material and engineering' I'll have a refund on mine then shall I? *tuts*
chickencam
Why can't they just come up with a fair price in the middle somewhere? We can't help how we are made
The Dogmother
Anyone know if they charge more for bigger knickers?
Valkyrie
Sounds like M&S are on a money grabbing session - I gather Mylene has taken a big reduction in salary and they have laid off a couple of the other girls in the ads. I think most of their undies are bad quality anyway - the piping on the knickers comes off before it's been washed a few times - I lost count how many times I have taken knicks back because of faulty workmanship - and that was even before it was worn. Plus the quality of the cotton is really bad compared with how they used to be made - so thin. Tesco nicks last just as long, if not much longer - except I don't like Tesco anymore either! I think I'll have to make my own bloomers!

Looney
How can M&S do this? And how do you apply the £2 charge? Is it just according to cup size or overall. If just on cup size does a 30FF use more material than a 40B? And are they going to introduce price increases to clothing too? £2 per size increase due to additional material? Oh, and to shoes as well? Maybe they could charge for using the changing rooms too? And then they could have cheaper, smaller rooms for the smaller customers and larger, more expensive rooms for the bigger customer.... ....ok, so perhaps I'm getting a bit carried away now! Lesley
Higher prices for clothes and shoes do occur - frequently in catalogues, you will see different price bands. ....and how about paying more on airlines for large people....the tall passengers already have to pay extra if they want to sit without having their knees under their chin! Who is going to say if someone is naturally large (or small) and who has eaten all the pies? Who is to say whether added weight due to taking something like necessary steroids or inactivity due to an accident is different .....or allowed...... I think it is a can of worms....... The Dogmother
....and how about paying more on airlines for large people....the tall passengers already have to pay extra if they want to sit without having their knees under their chin! There was an article in a paper last week (The Telegraph I think) where Michael O'Leary (owner of Ryan air and notoriously outspoken) is quoted as saying that he is thinking of bringing in a 'fat surcharge'. Here it is
