Does anybody else ever feel......PART 1

Recommended Posts

oh also, as for saying them, my best friend is from Southampton and moved here and started learning welsh, we all have to  and she couldn't say 'fach' which means little but you use the back of your throat to say it and you really need a welsh kind of accent to say it, not that any of use have much of one as we all speak fluent english  but anyway, I was her partner for our speaking test and her accent made it sound as if she was saying a very rude word! But she didn't realise until she said it out loud how it would really sound.... funniest welsh lesson ever.

I love Wales and the Welsh. We had holidays as a child in Llandudno and visited Betys- coed and went trout tickling. Lovely. Excuse spellings. stayed with lovely couple and learnt to say G'night and morning in Welsh. I can see you are all impressed. Would like to live in Dorset but at present in MIll Hill London and we have fields etc up the road and on the whole people are nice. :D originally from E Midlands and I miss the people and the accent so "Aye up me ducks" and see you later

:D Sounds impossible to leave without buying something, you've been leading Mother astray!

Not at all off topic there Koojie...straight from speaking Welsh, , to... random song ....to living in Wales ....to buying plants.

Er, not that we have a topic, it just made me laugh, anything to keep this topic going! :D

So that would be "Bore da" and "Nos da" then nochucksyet!

Well I don't know about elsewhere in the country, but its a glorious day in South Wales, and I have my friends coming over for dinner tonight (we have what we call "The Last Friday of the Month Club), always hosted at my house (as I haven't got children) and always a 3 course meal with menu choices.

So just to make you all hungry, if you came to my house tonight you could have had:

Starters

Scallops with pea puree

Cream of Tomato Soup

or Asparagus with Hollandaise Sauce

Mains

Salmon in Jack Daniels Marinade

Pork Chop with Barbecue Sauce

or Veggie Sausage Bake

(All served with Potato wedges and Salad)

Desserts

Rhubarb Tart

Butterscotch Cheesecake

or Ice-Cream

All are HomeMade.

So what would you have had? :D

:drool::drool: Slurrrrpppp! You mean I have to choose? Little bit of each????? Oink!

OK, if I must then - asparagus for starts, the call of the alcofrol means I would have salmon and the butterscotch cheesecake sounds wonderful. Have you put that on the thread for all things nice?

I know I digressed a little, OK fine, a lot! I just was rather pleased with my flowers for the time being. :D

That menu certainly sounds delicious :drool:

Back to random topics  - I've got a (brown rabbit) in my garden. It belongs to the family two doors down but they don't seem too bothered that it has gone under fences and has spent the day hanging out with The Grannies (chooks) in my garden evading capture :? It keeps nipping to the garden next door where it really will have peace and quiet as no-one lives there.

Surely they should be more concerned that their rabbit is on the loose? Plus it keeps nibbling my petunias

Doggie bag in the post to North Wales then :D

It was a very good night last night, food went down well.

When I get a chance I will post the recipes on All Things Nice.

Rather exciting, I am sat in a garage at the moment and connected using a mobile broadband thing that OH bought!

Very 21st century gadgetry!
