We have had sunshine alternating with impressive thunderstorms all afternoon. Intriguing to see steam rising from the paths in between.

They've had a storm at The Oval.

We have a big black cloud coming from the west that I am keeping my eye on - the sun is going, but still blue sky to the east. Gem's sending it over because we were missing something here!

Its been lovely all day here. I had the car roof down on the way to and the way back from work

YESS!! escaped the rain and the sun is still out (kind of) now!!!

A storm of biblical proportions - thunder, lightning and torrential rain. The patio is under 2" of water, it looks like a paddling pool. And it's still raining!

 

Discovered the new cat is scared of thunder! Poor thing was cowering under the bed.

Only a few spits eventually, but it seemed to pass by quickly and you could see the rain to the east.

Hubby goes to work at 6 so I got up and went for a run with the dog. Fields are drenched.

Going camping this weekend so it better stay fine as we'd have to go even if it was raining.

We hiked and camped the Coast to Coast three years ago and it poured with rain every day.

Hmmm, nice enough here for now, but we had tremendous storms last night and more showers forecast for today.

Gorgeous day here, put the washing out and the chooks are sunbathing in the middle of the lawn. A few clouds but they make the sky look more interesting anyway.

We had storms forecast from 4pm yesterday and by 8pm when the sky was clearing we thought that apart from a few spots they had passed us by, so we went to the allotment to water some newly planted things. While we were there we could hear thunder and saw some amazing sheet lightening, but the sky looked pretty bright where the weather was coming from and there was a great sunset, but of course as soon as we left it began to rain and did so heavily for the next hour or so. never mind all good for the garden.

 

I had moved a few young shrubs on Sunday and needed some water for them, I then discovered this morning that the chooks had dug one of them up during the day yesterday, a holly bush no less. I have replanted it this morning.

The day started of calm and grey. The wind has picked up and it's now lashing with rain.

I have everything else ready and was going to pick some elderflowers today

Misty at half past four this morning, then it was cloudy and a bit breezy. Then we had lots of sun and heat but now it's clouded over and I can see some clouds that are the frontliners for rain.

It started dull and threatening this morning, with strong winds. I went out to the allotment to pick the strawberries before it rained. Part of the tree which hangs over our plot from the school field next door had blown down overnight, fortuneately only over the pond and the surrounding nettles. We should get some water in our water butts now because the tree was covering the shed roof. I am amazed that it didn't damage the shed.

 

It has just started raining here.
