Valkyrie Posted July 23, 2009 Author Share Posted July 23, 2009 Bright sunny and warm this morning - naughty Squirt gave me the runaround and I was sweltering. Still nice when I went shopping with mum, although black nasty clouds were on the horizon. By the time we came out it was still spitting but we missed the deluge! Then sun, then very heavy rain for quite a while and now lots of blue sky and sunny again. There they were in the distance - gave up, never got close, but a lovely anvil cloud northwards. Didn't fancy a trip to London though. And the sun has gone in - I might just as well stay at home and let the storms come to me! Never mind - went through Overton and they have scarecrows all over the place, in the village and in people's front gardens. Very soggy-looking some of them - but it was nice to see anyway. They didn't say whether the non-stop rain would carry on up till then. Well I can see all the toms and spuds getting blight if this mucky stuff continues.
