Look at our skip bargain! -recycling at it's best

Recommended Posts

Hubby was working on a job and found a horrible 'orange stained' ink covered table with scratches all over the top. It was also in pieces!

He brought it home and worked his magic and waalaa good as new!

(we already had the chairs)

yes I am, because I had an oak one there before and so thats now in the other end of the living room (yes it's a large room) and the new or rather old pine one is now in the kitchen :D

I am much happier the kids eating up this table than the expensive oak one :lol:

edited to add the chairs actually started out life with that horrible dark brown varnish over them, hubby stripped them by hand a few years back now. :D

This is the garden from the french doors Poet, it isn't anything special, I wish it was larger. :? Hubby built the patio and those steps himself, it used to be a slop of grass. :)

the grass needs cutting  and chickien planter still awaiting it's plant.

the garden is taking a bashing, the kids have had the swining chair out (I didn't partake in that at all! :liar::whistle: ) and the critcket set so the garden doesn't look it's best but this was the nicest shot I could get..

wow! It's gorgeous, much bigger than mine and surrounded by trees, how lovely!

I am very happy with my small urban house but I can't help feeling a tiny bit  when I see houses like yours.

oh don't get me wrong, so would I! In fact, I'd love a smallholding but I am content for now and try to count my blessings. In the grand scheme of things I'm very lucky and happy but I would love more land.

If I could pick up our house and plant it in the middle of a few acres then I'd want for nothing else! Well, maybe a few goats, a cple of pigs, some more chickens, a pond with some ducks.....

Wow what a table - you lucky lady you! Your kitchen floor is the same as ours! :D I have to drag my hubby away from skips. Had some good wood out of some & some cupboards, but never a nice table like that.

Look at little Suzi on that lawn - cute, can I have her? (pretty please).

You can have some of our trees Poet - we have way too many!
