dancing cloud
I'll be moving over 100 polling stations-worth of equipment and ballot papers from where they are being stored now to their collection point - boo, hiss, spit ! The European papers alone round here are nearly 2.5 feet long - we're thinking of awarding a prize for the most artistically folded ! Add to that the county ballot papers, the screens and polling booths, ballot boxes, other equipment and many forms everyone has to fill in, and we have several tons of stuff to shift. My council is too mean to give its staff reduced price use of its leisure centres - but we have the in-house weight lifting and marathon running programme instead! Good job I can record the ex-batts and have something lovely to look forward to between the lifting and shifting on Sunday and postal vote opening starting on Monday
Hens@HalfMoonLane
Dancing Cloud - are they your hens that get a mention in the Summer newsletter?
dancing cloud
Well spotted Hens! And very sorry everyone for my really grumpy previous post - yesterday was a bit of a low point Haven't seen a summer newsletter yet, but yes, the big girls were very proud to be mentioned in the last edition of the BHWT newsletter for their fund-raising efforts - hard to get all the egos in the Residence for a while The little girls have arrived since, so have not yet been mentioned, though they are now contributing too, bless 'em

Egluntyne
Just caught the last 10 mins or so....and yes, it looked good.
moochoo
It was good. It was really nice to see the difference between girls' in an intensive farm and those he collected from the free range organic farm. Both finding new homes for the same reason, drop in egg production but it completely opposite states of health. I hope they follow up on their progress. AMO
I know I'm biased , but, I thought the piece was brill and they will be doing progress reports later in the series. The 'Bat Phone' will be red hot today Ian and Mollie are taking out 2000+/- during June so if anyone is interested please register on http://www.bhwt.org.uk
Barkisland
I just caught the last few minutes, but it looked a very good piece, and it can only be good publicity for the rescue organisations.
