Last Baby Off To Secondary School- UPDATE

Recommended Posts

:( My youngest of 3 is off at the Secondary school today for 1 of 2 induction days. He is so ready to go but I have spent the day faffing around (just look at how many posts I've made today if you don't believe me!) waiting for him to come home all day just like the day that my eldest went to primary school for the first time. It was lovely this morning though watching his brother and sister get him organised to catch the bus with them. Where does the time go, eh? Edited by Guest

I know how you feel. My youngest is on day 2 of her induction.

She went off as happy as Larry this morning when her friend called for her.

They were collecting various other friends along the way :)

My youngest's induction day is next Tuesday. His words to me this morning on the way to school were "I wish you had a job" I asked why and he said "so that I can walk home on my own". I told him he was more than welcome to come home today on his own as its too hot for Cookie to have her walk.

I'm redundant  - I knew it was coming as of September but I thought he would have let me see this last school year out!

YS is at his induction day today, they put him on a different bus to his brother! so I ignored that and told him to get on the bus with my older son. I am in the process of trying to dort it out as there was an error apparantly!

Wlle one, I would have put him on the same bus too. YS went off this morning without his temporary bus pass  As sign of things to come  . Thankfully big brother is the bus prefect so expect that he vouched for him. Unless he is still standing at the bus stop - haven't dared look :lol:

Well, no more trial days. Today is the day! YS has gone off for his first real day at secondary school. Looked yummy in his new uniform. Today is for just year 7's and 11's so it is a quieter introduction. ES and DD are both at home and both gave him a lovely cuddel before he went down to the bus stop all on his lonesome. We all had to resist the urge to go down with him or crane our heads out of the window. Am currently trying to stop myself from phoning to see if he is on the bus! - Can't wait to hear all of his new tonight :)

Mini welly starts secondary school (called high school here, i feel a musical coming on  ) tomorrow. I've been told i'm not allowed to walk with her to school but i am allowed to meet her to hear her news. The school is literally five minutes away so i don't need to worry about the journey. She's been soooo excited for the whole summer holidays, it's been agony  Unfortunately, OH is flying to New York today so he'll miss her first day but i'm under strict instructions to take lots of photos of her in her uniform. She's even excited about that as she gets to wear a blazer for the first time.

my YS son starts secondary school tomorrow and get s on the bus to go there, all the year 7's start back tomorrow and the rest of the school join them they day after, however my OS is walking to the bus stop to make sure YS gets on the crrect bus, as it's SO uncool having your mum about. :lol:8)

I have had lots of mums calling me making sure they have all the right equipment.. becuase I have an older boy at the school... doesn't make me an expert but I do roughly know the ropes.. ;)

I start back at work tomorrow as well so I will be very buttterflies in stomach thinking of my YS starting his first day. He however is very nexcited to be going and cannot wait
