Sounds 8)

Bag packing is always a good way to raise money, especially if you go with friends. And the poundshop is always a good place because people get change in £ coins and put one in the bucket and its easier to count :lol:

On that note at our son's induction evening for secondary school they have changed the Yr 7 holiday from a foreign one to Mersea Island (think its Essex!) because of the current financial times. Apparently in September they will be giving out forms so that parents can take longer to pay for it. I think they said it will be £120 which could be more in line with what a lot of parents could pay.

Enjoy your China trip - what an adventure. :D

Schools amaze me! :notalk: How parents are supposed to fork out for such trips disgusts me. What about less fortunate children? It really saddens me that some children get ' special priviliges'. So much for preventing jealousy & bullying.

Enjoy your trip though!

I know what your saying, my daugther came home with a trip to Japan a couple of years ago and I'm afraid I said no, it was just soooo much money and I couldn't justify the rest of us going without a holiday.

Sorry not meaning to put a downer on your trip. My brother lives in China and he loves it.

Hope you have a fab time.
