Jules.
We're off to Keswick today in the rain and camping Hubby is chook sitting I needed to clean the hens out last night, & did a super fast clean out in the pouring rain while hubby brushed up all the soil the naughty girls & boys had kicked everywhere. The plastic eglu roosting bars I have now got ( thank you, Mostin ) were great- I just took the old wooden ones out, left them in the rain to get clean & popped the new ones in Anyhow- hubby knows my username & password. If he has any trouble with the hens he knows to come on here The cockerels are still not cock a doddle dooing, just making party blower noises and so he hopes he doesn't have to " do the deed" while we're away..... ...... but then again he is extreemly capable & can look after the chooks as well as I can He's a good learner x Bbbbbbyyyyyeeeee!
