From the bottom, Rockall, Cromarty, Malin. 4 weeks old exactly. Rockall has a tiny comb, but apart from that, there are no obvious differences.

Very hard to photograph...they are never still.

So....boys or girls, what do you reckon? I change my mind every time I look at them.

We could certainly tell our boys and girls apart by four weeks.

Our Golden Partridge Pekins arrived 25th June, the photo below was 19th July

As you can see, the two boys have very clearly defined combs and small wattles. If nothing of any notoriety is visible on yours within the next 7-10 days, they will be girls. Even now, at 10-weeks old, our girls have no comb or face furniture to speak of.

Anton crowed so ended up in the freezer, but Claudia is quite beautiful, if a little thick. :D

I think that must be a sussex tendancy. My Light sussex and my three buff sussex are the only chooks who have trouble finding the door to the run every single night :roll: . I swear, you'd think I moved it every day :lol: . All the other other girls have no problem, but I despair of those 4, and the buf who is a boy :wall::wall::wall::wall: , well how he remembers to put one foot in front of the other is a mystery to me.

It's a good job he's so pretty :roll::lol::lol::lol::lol: .
