Guest
sssssssssh, promise you can keep a secret? *whispers* I got chookiehubbie a really nice camera that he's been drooling over for ages. How about something like that?
Mrs Frugal
LSH wants a sat nav thingy for a combined Christmas and birthday prezzie. Nice and easy, I suppose IF he could decide which one he wants!!! A camera is a nice idea Chookie - all those photos of chickens he can take!! chelsea
There's only the 2 of us, but we buy for so many friends and family we run out of money for ourselves ! What about - Show and hotel in London Sporting event (eg football tickets/what ever he likes) Spa weekend with massages etc (then you enjoy it too!) I bought my husband a "survival weekend" for his birthday (he loved it - camping in the forest and forraging "ray mears" style for food, with instructors) Rallying in a car?! 4X4 country driving/terrain course (bought my hubby that too!) Pop/rock concert and hotel
chelsea
this is where my hubby went - (we are in Devon) but courses elsewhere - http://www.survivalschool.co.uk/Weekend.htm
theherd123
Like the camera idea but i know i will use it more Sat Nav would be good but he's a man and refuses to ask for directions let alone admit he needs a computer telling him where to go! Kate your OH is obviously a man of this generation & forward thinking! I LOVE the survival weekend but OH cant see the point in camping if there is a hotel down the road Oh the weekend & massage stuff sounds great We stayed at the Lowry in Manchester on our wedding night 3 years ago & have always been promising we would go back....hmmmmm a possible there! Guest
Like the camera idea but i know i will use it more This one I got chookiehubbie seems far too technical for me to use - I'll just inherit the old one, and leave him to play with the new one! Kate your OH is obviously a man of this generation & forward thinking! Ummm, no, not really! He just wants one which goes bleep when there's a speed camera approaching ! Charlottechicken
Ummm, no, not really! He just wants one which goes bleep when there's a speed camera approaching ! Not sure that isn't something different, Kate. I thought I read somewhere about it being an "Angel" of some sort. Might be cheaper as well

Kate, we have the Tom Tom one & it is fab. You can update it online & you have to pay a small subscription to get the speed camera alarm, which we haven't bothered with. I really cannot recommend it enough - The Hubby works all over the place & while he knows how to get to a certain place, the actual house he is trying to find is often difficult, the sat nav is great for this. He wants a 24 hour watch this year.that is one which has all 24 hours in one revoloution of the dial - they are old Russian watches & available on eBay. I have just this to get, then I am all done for Christmas
chocchick
How about a flight in an old plane like Lesley-Jean, or a flying lesson? Hot air balloon? Racing or rally car? I'm hoping to get OH a flying lesson as he says he's always wanted to learn although maybe when he has more money OH likes his GPS even though he will never admit to going wrong without it

Guest
He's well worth it Ginette Maybe I should have put buying him a.....can't tell you (I think he reads the forum threads) He is a bit difficult to buy for as his birthday is christmas day. I do try and distinguish between birthday and christmas and I try and put his birthday cards separate from the mass of christmas cards Christmas is a very busy time for birthdays I have 2 friends whose birthdays are Christmas Eve, Dans uncle is Boxing Day and his cousin is the 27th. His best mate is also Christmas Day
