There's some cloud on the horizon but it seems to be blowing across rather than towards here The rooks are particularly raucous this morning; that echoey empty sound. Cinnamon Posted November 12, 2009 Share Posted November 12, 2009 Torrential rain here in my corner of the UK, for the last 2 hours or so. I mean REALLY tipping it down.A 10 min drive took me almost an hour - I have seriously never driven in worse conditions...it was truly frightening,& I am normally a calm & collecte driver Floods everywhere, & I made an error by taking a quieter back road - it was flooded side to side for over a mile. My house is in a dip - the road outside is flooded,my drive is flooded,& I am waiting for the toilets to back up,as they do often in these conditions as we are the last house on the drain before the sewerage pumping station,which is just by my drive. Groovychook Posted November 14, 2009 Share Posted November 14, 2009 What a horrendous day we had yesterday!!! Gale force winds & torrential rain all day long. Had to drive over to Dartmoor in the evening to set up a fair I'm doing this weekend. Not a pleasant experience! It's carried on all night and is still raging out there.
