Ain't Nobody Here
Don't know which girl did it but there was a perfect little pale brown 47g egg on the roosting bars in the eglu . I'd seen both of them nipping in and out of the eglu recently but never expected it this soon . They're about 20 weeks old and have been with me 4 weeks tomorrow . Ain't Nobody Here
OH saw Penny emerge from the eglu this morning and a 53g egg was on the bars so it must be her . (She's obviously not worked out the roll away nestbox yet . I just can't decide whether to put them to sleep together in the eglu and put the r/a nestbox in the pet carrier . The eglu is really cramped with it in there. Maisie's still picking on them so I'm worried she'll do it in the eglu too . Or maybe they're not eating the eggs at all so I can let them lay in the eglu nestbox after all . Sorry, ramble over .
Space Chick
Tricky one ANH My ex batts are still choosing to sleep in the pet carrier, so I am leaving them to it at the moment, as we are still get a few squabbles, although only minor ones. Good luck and yey Penny

chickencam
Lovely egg I haven't had any double yolkers from my newbies. We had loads from the original Omlet hens and from out White Star when they were starting out, but these girls took a long time to lay and their eggs have been small and single yolked.
