Happy chickens!
I hope it works out for you - you sound very dedicated and it can be hard when a job involves children especially to say no sometimes - as you clearly deserve a bit of downtime now and then! chick wiggle
Well Done It can be quite daunting going to ask your boss for something, so well done and hope it all works out
Valkyrie
Well done, sounds like a nice day for you all. OH has been working so hard that he has started making a couple of mistakes - I told him that he has to stop it and have a break occasionally before he breaks. I know it's good to be busy but . . . At least he doesn't have to do deliveries any more - another lad is doing that, so should help.
ali-s
It is my first day working 9am - 3pm I forgot to re set my alarm clock so I have been up since 5am , tried to get back to sleep but couldn't
Valkyrie
That's so annoying when that happens. Hope you get to catch up later when you come home.
ali-s
My two week trial of working less hours is up today. Had a chat with my boss and he doesn't see why I can't carry on with the new hours I am still going to be paid according to my contract until Christmas and then my contract will be reviewed and hopefully a new one will be given to me. This means up until Christmas I will be paid for more hours than I actually work. I could end up owing lots of hours , but if I work a few late night functions hopefully it won't be too bad. I have also decided to retire at 50 so only 4 and half more years at work. I am so much more happier, less snappy and have almost stopped nagging OH is still working far too hard This week he has been starting work at 3am, he didn't get home until 6.45pm yesterday. I am very worried about him
Blackrocksrock
Glad its working out fine for you Ali and hope you can retire at 50 ok and tell your OH that he needs to cut down his hours too as you wont see much of him and the kids will not see much of him either and they grow up too quickly for that to happen and then they are gone - believe me I have been there and they go too quick. Good luck for the new contract too and maybe catch up with you one day again. s
Ain't Nobody Here
That's great news . Hope you manage to persuade your OH to slow down though . He'll make himself ill .
mostin
Glad to hear it's going so well for you Ali. I can only echo what the other have said about your OH though , slow him down before something else does it for him.
Valkyrie
I think you'll have to tie him up for his own good. And I'm not saying any more otherwise it might sound smutty. Glad to hear the new times are working for you. Well done for having the courage to speak about it, and at least your boss isn't walking over you now.
