Those beehive hairdos remind me of the first time, at my brother's wedding circa 1969. I've been a bridesmaid three times, not sure if I can find any pics but I'll have a look. I waited 31 years to be a bridesmaid and eventually was one last November to my wonderful bestfriend see below. She was my bridesmaid and her mum was my mums bridesmaid many moons ago! The second time was 7 years ago for my friend. Woodcat Posted September 29, 2009 Share Posted September 29, 2009 hey The only time i was a bridesmaid i was about 5 and i refused to wear the dress and do the ceramony until someone said that i could have a pair of roller blades. So i dutifully did the ceramony and then after the first photo said "Can i have my roller blades" and some fool gave them to me so every photo in the wedding i had these fisher price yellow and orange roller blades on with a white dress with red roses on it in the style of a little bo peep dress. I think my mother has all the old wedding and bridesmaid photos, suffice to say that I was never happy with what I had to wear - not apink and frilly girl myself. I was about 10 weeks pregnant with Oliver, so I was absolutely shattered by the end of the evening, and we hadn't told many people because I hadn't had my 12 week scan yet.
