I contemplated the merits of a Walk in Run extension, however, due to costs this was not an option. However, I decided that I needed an area to use as a smaller introduction area or sick bay, as my current intro area is a third of my walk in run, so to shut off for an intro for 2 or a sick bay wouldn't be fair to the rest of my flock.

 

Well yesterday I found a bargain Rabbit Run reduced in a local pet shop, and with a few moderations has made an upstairs/downstairs for my run, increasing my run space by 2 square metres and providing more interest for my girls

 

 

The rabbit run built in my run, topped with Acrylic sheets to make a permanent lid.

 

 

Side door that can be left open when it isn't needed for intros/sick bay

Just wanted to share that my new "extension" is working a treat.

 

It is a perfect size for Nyssa and Susan whilst we do the intros.

 

In addition, all the oldies love jumping on the top, which we have affectionately called "The Observation Deck", as by jumping on that it gives them a better view into the house for them to watch us
